Welcome to this yoga nidra practice focused on exploring the chakras.

Just as water flows through a creek,

So does the flow of energy through the body.

Throughout this practice,

We'll journey through each chakra from root to ground,

Inviting you to connect with and harmonize with these vital energy centers.

Prepare yourself for a deeply relaxing and inward experience as we delve into the subtle layers of your being.

Trust that you have everything you need within you to unfold into the beautiful wisdom of your energetic body.

Start by creating an environment or space that fully supports your body and mind to rest in stillness.

Your body is a sacred landscape deserving of your kindness and attention.

So use whatever props you need,

Such as pillows,

Blanket,

And eye mask.

Maybe you would even like to light a candle.

Let yourself get really,

Really cozy.

As you settle in,

Start by taking a few slow,

Deep breaths in through the nostrils,

Allowing yourself this moment of self-care and grounding to receive,

To let go,

Know you will receive everything you need simply by being here.

Letting go now.

Letting go so that you can feel the deep presence of the earth below you.

Notice the calm rise and fall of the breath,

Nothing to do but to surrender into the blanket of earth,

Embracing its nurturing and sacred energy,

Letting go of any tensions.

Your wise body,

With every exhale,

Allow the body to sink a little deeper,

Relaxing a little bit more,

Muscles,

Bones,

And tissues of the body releasing and letting go.

Notice the breath flowing through your entire body,

The body breathing on its own,

Receiving the earth,

Feeling grounded and at ease.

As you slowly begin to count down from seven to one,

Beginning at the top of the cervical spine located at the base of the skull,

Take one cleansing and calming round of breath in through the nose and out through the mouth before beginning to count down.

Let's begin.

Inhale to your level of comfort and exhale out a little bit slower and a little longer than the inhale.

Continue counting down until you reach one,

Following the breath as it travels down the spine.

If you lose your place,

That's okay.

Simply start again at seven.

Go deep inside now into the stillness,

Into the space between each breath as you are counting down.

Each descent down the spine creates a little more space,

Opening to what already is,

That inner knowing of your internal truth.

Allow the body,

Your breath,

This deepening consciousness to be exactly as it is and return to the natural ebb and flow of the breath,

Resting here,

Tuning into the whispers of your heart and listening to its deepest desires and passions.

You might already have a sankalpa or intention you're working with,

So feel free to call that in.

If you're new to creating an intention or uncertain of what to use,

I might suggest one of the following.

I align with my highest self,

Welcoming the flow of harmonious energy streaming through my body,

Or I accept the energy that guides me towards vitality and growth.

Repeat your sankalpa or intention silently three times now,

Bringing your awareness to the heart center each time you repeat it,

Allowing it to seep into all the cells of your being,

Releasing your sankalpa now,

Listening to the sound of my voice,

We will now begin the rotation of consciousness.

Prepare for inward travel of awareness through the body.

This circuit focuses on vital nerve-rich points,

Harmonizing the life force energies within.

If you like,

You can mark each body part with a sacred symbol,

A color,

Words of loving kindness,

Or a radiant sphere of light.

Breathing deeply and with ease,

Move your awareness to the mind's eye,

The space between the eyebrows,

Base of throat,

Right shoulder,

Wrist,

Entire right hand and fingers,

Wrist,

Right side of the chest,

Open to receive,

Left side of the chest,

Entire left hand and fingers,

Wrist,

Radiating,

Including the toes and sole of the foot,

Shifting awareness to the left foot,

The entire foot,

Including the toes and sole of the foot,

Lower left leg,

Upper thigh,

Hip,

Pelvic floor,

Base of throat.

Now I invite you to journey through visualization of the energy centers within you,

Known as the chakras,

Those vibrant wheels of energy.

You might experience them as a color,

An image,

A felt sense,

An emotion or feeling.

There's no wrong or right.

Just allow it to resonate with you in whatever way it manifests.

Breathing your own natural rhythm,

Follow the rise of your breath as you bring your awareness to the perineum,

The space between the sitting bones,

The first chakra represented by the color red and symbolized by the hibiscus flower.

It embodies feelings of belonging,

Abundance,

Trust,

Stability,

And security.

Take a moment to inhale the essence of this energy,

Feel it permeating the root region,

Flowing down through the hips,

Traveling along the legs,

Reaching the soles of your feet and grounding you deeply into the earth beneath you.

With each breath,

Feel waves of relaxing energy washing through your body,

Reinforcing your connection to the earth.

As you breathe,

Repeat the affirmation silently.

I am present and grounded,

Slowly moving up the spine.

Shift your attention to the second chakra,

Positioned just below the navel,

Represented by the color orange and symbolized by the calla lily.

This chakra governs energy flow,

Intimacy,

Pleasure,

Nourishment,

And boundaries,

While also serving as the guardian of the reproductive organs.

Take a moment to breathe in the essence of this energy deeply within the second chakra.

Tune in to the subtle currents of energy circulating within the pelvic floor,

Hip flexors,

Gluteal muscles,

Abdomen,

And lower back.

Observe the ebb and flow of this energy,

Embracing its vitality.

As you continue to breathe,

Silently affirm to yourself,

I am in harmony with the flow of energy circulating within my second chakra,

Ascending to the third chakra,

Situated just above the navel and the lower part of the ribs,

Represented by the color yellow and symbolized by the sunflower.

Allow yourself to deeply connect with this chakra.

Feel the beautiful energy unfolding in this area.

Perhaps you might visualize a radiant golden yellow light emanating,

Symbolizing personal power,

Self-confidence,

And inner strength.

With awareness,

Repeat the following silently.

I am confident,

Empowered,

And worthy of all the abundance life offers.

The journey continues up the spine,

Bringing your awareness to the fourth chakra,

The heart center,

Situated in the middle of the chest.

This chakra is represented by the color emerald green and symbolized by the rose.

Breathe deeply,

Drawing in the vital energy flowing through the central chakra that harmonizes the entire energy system.

With each round of breath,

Absorb the essence of love,

Compassion,

And acceptance embodied by this chakra.

Feel your heart expanding with warmth and generosity.

Embracing both yourself and others with an open heart,

Recite silently,

My heart is open,

Radiating unconditional love,

And my heart is open,

Radiating unconditional love for you and your loved ones.

Compassion,

Forgiveness,

Nurturing deep connection and emotional balance within.

Traveling up to the fifth chakra,

The throat,

Located at the base of the throat.

This chakra is represented by the color blue and symbolized by the tulip.

The breath flowing naturally.

Feel the space in your throat widening and expanding,

Filling with a soothing light with each inhalation.

Inhale confidence and grace,

Allowing it to infuse your entire being.

On your exhale,

Affirm.

I express myself freely and authentically.

Rising further up the spine,

Bring your awareness to the sixth chakra,

The mind's eye located between the eyebrows.

This chakra is represented by deep indigo and symbolized by the marigold flower.

Drawing your attention to this point,

Your mind's eye,

The seed of intuition,

Wisdom,

And insight.

With each breath,

Deeply connect with your inner guidance,

Allowing you clarity and perspective.

With this clarity,

Affirm.

I trust my intuition and inner wisdom.

Arriving now at the seventh chakra,

The crown,

Located at the top of the head,

Represented by the color violet and symbolized by the beautiful lotus flower.

As you bring your awareness to this chakra,

Perhaps you visualize a shimmering silver or white light streaming down from the universe,

Enveloping your entire being.

Streaming down from the universe,

Enveloping your entire being and connecting you with all of existence.

Rooted in the profound sense of oneness,

Feel into your entire body as you breathe in the words,

I am connected to the divine universal energy.

I am filled with infinite peace,

Love,

And light.

Allow these words to resonate deeply within,

Serving as a reminder of your divine connection.

And the boundless peace and love that surround you.

Now take a moment to scan your body and notice if any particular chakra is calling to you.

Allow your breath to nourish that area,

Infusing it with the qualities you need most in this moment.

Now spend a few moments here tuning into the chakra and what it is you need for yourself.

In this space of deep presence,

The innate rhythm of your breath.

As you breathe in,

Bask in the serenity of this moment,

Sensing the vital energy flowing through your entire body,

Embracing a feeling tone of deep peace and calm.

With each exhale,

Release whatever no longer aligns with you and trust that you're exactly where you need to be.

Take a moment now to appreciate the gift you've given yourself,

This opportunity to cherish and nurture.

Begin to notice the sounds around you,

The temperature on your skin,

The sensations in your body.

You're welcome to close out the practice just as you are.

Rather,

Savor in this beautiful oneness of you.

If you feel called to transition out of this practice,

Begin to intuitively move the body,

Perhaps wiggling the fingers and the toes,

Rotating the wrists and ankles,

Gently moving the head side to side,

Stretching the arms overhead,

And turning over to one side for a few rounds of deep,

Calming breaths before continuing to breathe in and out.

Coming to an upright position.

Wherever you are,

I invite you to place your hands on your body,

Maybe one at the heart center and the other the belly,

Or one of the areas of the chakras that is calling you.

Breathing in light emanating from within,

Feeling into the energy circulating through your spine and your body,

From the root to the crown.

I am deeply grateful for our time together.

May you carry the awareness of your body and mind and the awareness and presence you've cultivated within,

Staying grounded,

Balanced,

And connected to the wisdom of your body and spirit.
