Let's prepare to meditate.
Adjust your body so that you are sitting comfortably.
Close your eyes.
Rest your hands on your lap in any way that is comfortable for you.
Take a nice filling breath in.
Breathe deeply in through your nose and breathe out slowly through your mouth.
Do this again.
Now when you exhale,
Breathe out with a long sigh.
Do this breathing again a few more times to settle your mind and body.
You are ready to begin.
You find yourself looking at your reflection in a mirror.
You're all dressed up from head to toe as if you're going to a special event like a wedding.
You got to choose what you're wearing today.
What are you wearing?
You feel happy and confident.
Tonight you will be accepting an award.
Maybe this is an award that you see yourself winning at the age you are now or maybe this is an award you see yourself winning in the future.
You are standing backstage when you hear your name called and the crowd cheers loudly.
You walk out onto the stage not feeling nervous but instead happy and excited.
The crowd cheers even more loudly when they see you.
You don't feel scared.
You feel so happy and proud that you could cry happy tears.
Your chest feels full of joy.
Try to imagine this feeling in your chest of happiness,
Pride and excitement.
On a podium in the middle of the stage is your award.
What does this trophy look like?
Now think of what you are winning this award for.
What would you dream of winning this award for?
This is your award.
You lift the trophy high overhead and the crowd rises to their feet and cheers loudly.
You give the award a shake overhead and smile so big that your cheeks hurt.
In the front row you can see all of your favorite people cheering loudly for you.
Who do you see in this front row?
You are so proud and happy you can't help doing a little victory dance on stage.
Picture your amazing or silly victory dance.
Dance it full out.
The crowd goes wild.
You wave a goodbye to the audience.
You leave the stage holding your award tightly to your chest.
Take a moment now to imagine three things that you could be doing to win this award later in life.
What could you be practicing?
What could you be learning?
What could you research?
Who could you call?
Imagine these three things that you could do to help win this award in your future.
Imagine them now.
As our meditation comes to a close,
Draw your attention back to your real body.
Notice and feel where your body is touching the floor or chair.
Wiggle your fingers.
Wiggle your toes.
Take a deep breath.
Now go ahead and stretch out your body in any way that feels good to you.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes.
Now go out and find the magic in your day.
