Let's prepare to meditate.
Adjust your body so that you are sitting comfortably.
Close your eyes.
Adjust your hands on your lap in any way that is comfortable for you.
Take a nice filling breath in.
Breathe deeply in through your nose and breathe out slowly through your mouth.
Do this again.
Now when you exhale,
Breathe out with a long sigh.
Do this breathing again a few more times to settle your mind and body.
You are ready to begin.
In this meditation,
We will use golden light to help our bodies heal and relax.
Picture a sunset.
A stunning summer sunset.
Where are you watching the sunset?
Who is with you?
Imagine looking down at your body and noticing the beautiful warm golden color that the sunset creates on your skin.
Your skin looks vibrant and healthy.
It is glowing in the golden light.
You close your eyes to better appreciate the feeling of this golden light radiating on your skin.
Focus on your face.
Imagine the golden light making your face tingle with warmth.
Try to really feel it.
Imagine the light soaking into your face,
Making the air you breathe feel clean.
Making your breath feel easy.
And making you feel confidently gorgeous.
Focus now on the warmth on your chest.
Try to imagine the skin of your chest actually getting tingly or warm.
The golden light fills you with confidence and courage.
Imagine the golden light now on your arms.
Try to really feel it.
The golden light soaks into your arms,
Making you feel stronger.
Even stronger.
Bring your attention now to your belly.
Imagine the golden light soaking in through your skin to warm and heal your belly on the inside.
Relax your belly completely.
Let the golden light release even the tiniest knots of tension in your stomach.
Open your belly with your mind to find any knots and release them.
Notice any tiny feelings or sounds from your belly as it heals itself with the golden light.
This makes you feel completely at peace.
Imagine now that the golden light slowly moves its way to your legs,
Starting at the top of your thighs and ever so slowly working its way down to your toes.
Nice and slow.
No hurry.
Try to imagine that tingly feeling or that feeling of warmth.
The golden light on your legs makes you feel strong,
Grounded,
Sturdy,
And fast.
Now as you sit or lie in the golden light of this beautiful summer sunset,
Enjoy the happy feeling it gives you.
Imagine soaking in as much of the light as you can through every inch of your body.
Now just breathe in the golden light and let your body heal.
Hmm.
As your meditation comes to a close,
Draw your attention back to your real body.
Notice and feel where your body is touching the floor or chair.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
Take a deep breath.
Now go ahead and stretch out your body in any way that feels good for you.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes.
Now go out and find the magic in your day.
