Welcome to this guided meditation.
Get comfortable lying or sitting and let's begin.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Gently close your eyes,
Allow your top eyelids to gently relax and rest on your bottom eyelids.
Become aware of your breathing as you breathe deeply in and out.
And as you breathe in,
Allow your breath to be cool,
Refreshing,
Enlivening and as you breathe out,
Imagine your breath to be warm,
Warm,
Releasing,
Letting go.
In,
Cool,
Enlivening,
Minty breath.
And out,
Warm,
Releasing,
Fire breath.
Keep breathing in the cool,
Enlivening breath.
Breathing out the warm,
Releasing breath.
And as you do so,
You notice your whole body is relaxing.
Now I invite you to imagine that you are walking in a beautiful forest.
Take in your natural surroundings.
Notice what you see,
The sounds you're hearing and feel your feet.
And notice that you are barefooted,
Connecting to the earth as you walk through this beautiful natural forest.
And with your feet connecting to the earth,
You feel grounded and present and embodied.
And the whole of this natural surrounding is bringing a sense of peace and happiness into your body,
Mind,
Soul.
And now I invite you to come into some kind of clearing.
And there you notice your inner child playing.
Allow yourself to observe your inner child without them noticing you.
Notice what they're doing.
Notice how old this inner child is.
And now hear yourself say hello there and wave to your inner child.
And start walking up to your inner child and introduce yourself.
Say,
I am your future self.
Tell your inner child your current age.
And let him or her know that you're coming to visit from the future.
And that you're coming here because you're here to play with your inner child and really reconnect to the wisdom,
Awe,
Wonder,
Energy and vitality sense of creativity and curiosity and play that your inner child has now.
Say to your inner child,
I'd really like to play with you.
Please,
Can we play together?
Do that now.
And now I invite you to ask your inner child what ideas,
Thoughts and wisdom he or she has for you.
Listen closely with your whole body as your inner child shares its innocent,
Pure wisdom.
And now notice that your inner child says that he or she has something for you.
And your inner child gives you a gift.
And listen to what your inner child says about why they are giving you this specific gift.
What it presents and what it is about.
Listen closely now.
And now you may want to give your inner child a big hug.
And thank it for playing with you.
Acknowledge your inner child in whichever way your inner child most needs to hear your acknowledgments.
Do that now.
And let your inner child know that you will be back to interact and play with him or her again in the future.
And now very slowly and gently,
I'm going to count back from 10 until 1.
And as I do so you'll find your awareness returning back into the room.
And you will feel enlivened and enhanced by the sense of curiosity and awe and wonder and innocence of your inner child.

Link your eyes together and slowly open them.
