This is something a little different.
It is an open-eyed meditation and awareness practice for becoming present.
I invite you now to start slowly walking around the space that you are in,
And we're going to cycle through your senses one by one,
Focusing on each sense,
Fully on each sense.
Right now,
Focus on what you are seeing,
The colors,
The shapes,
The textures in your environment,
All of your focus on what you are seeing.
Now,
Focus on what you are hearing,
The sounds that are close to you,
Sounds that are very far away and in the distance,
The sounds that melt into the background,
Sounds that feel discordant.
Focusing in on what you are hearing.
Now focusing on what you are smelling.
What are the smells in the environment that you are in?
Sweet,
Sour,
Natural,
Artificial.
This may be more subtle.
Notice what you are tasting.
This may be even more subtle.
And notice how you are feeling.
First notice the tactile feeling.
Are you warm or cold?
What do your clothes feel like on your body?
Are you touching anything?
Start touching things in your environment.
And notice how those things feel to touch.
And now notice how you are feeling emotionally.
Tune in to your internal feelings.
And now notice how cycling through these senses has made you more present,
Makes you feel more embodied,
Makes you feel more here and less in your head.
We're going to cycle through these senses a few more times.
Continue walking around your environment.
Noticing what are you seeing?
Now focused on what are you hearing?
What are you smelling?
What are you tasting?
How do things feel from a tactile perspective?
Touch things in your environment,
Feel them.
And how are you feeling emotionally?
What are your internal feelings?
Notice how doing this exercise seems to slow things down,
Ground you,
Embody you.
We're going to do one more cycle.
Keep moving around and noticing what are you seeing?
Full focus on what you are seeing.
And now your full focus on what you are hearing,
Sounds in your environment.
What are you smelling?
You might actually want to pick things up and smell things.
What are you tasting?
What are you feeling from a tactile perspective?
Touch things.
Are they smooth or rough,
Cold or warm?
Natural or artificial?
Now notice your emotional feelings.
And now notice how you're feeling in your body,
How you're feeling in your mind,
How you're feeling in your being.
This practice of cycling through your senses is one of my core magic tools in my magic toolkit for really helping my students to become present,
Embodied,
Grounded and actually in the reality of life.
We spend so much time in our minds,
We spend so much time in virtual reality and cycling through the senses brings us back into embodied,
Physical,
Present reality.
It's a very quick,
Powerful exercise that you can do at any time to get present.
And in the present moment,
There is no past,
There is no future,
There is no fear or worry or stress because we're in the present and it's from this point of the present moment that true power exists and your ability to manifest anything exists.
