Often referred to as the "Song of God", the Bhagavad Gita is a treasure of ancient wisdom spoken by Lord Krishna. These holy words were given to the warrior, Arjuna, to prepare him for the battle of his life. Allow them to wash over and fortify you as you face your own battles. Mirror meditation is a self-realization practice; the image you see in the mirror is not an accurate reflection of your True Identity. Look deeper and discover Self.

Transcript

Welcome to this mirror meditation inspired by the tenth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita in which Krishna reveals Himself to Arjuna.

My name is Beth and I'll be guiding you.

To prepare,

Please sit in front of a mirror.

Imagine yourself so that you can see your whole body and easily look into your own eyes throughout this meditation.

Low or dim light is best.

A candle or salt lamp work well.

Now that you're positioned in front of your mirror,

Gaze into the mirror and turn your attention toward your breath.

Deepen and even the inhalation and exhalation as you connect softly with your own eyes.

And release expectations and the judging mind.

Simply allow your experience to unfold.

You may simply listen or you may allow each phrase to echo in your mind.

Continue to breathe fully,

Deeply,

And softly and keep eye contact with yourself.

You may rest your eyes if you need to at any point.

Release any body tension.

Relax.

Here we go.

Oh,

Arjuna,

How I shall explain to you all of my endless manifestations.

I am the Atman,

The spirit abiding in the heart of all living things.

The Alpha and Omega,

Beginning,

Middle,

And end.

I am the generator,

Organizer,

And destroyer of all.

I am the sustainer,

The radiant sun,

The moon,

The stars,

And the space between them.

The celestial ruler of life and death.

I preside over all symbols and concepts.

Fame,

Prosperity,

Speech,

Memory,

Intellect,

Resolve,

And forgiveness.

I am the senses and the consciousness that perceives their message.

I am the immovable mountains and meandering rivers,

The depths of the oceans and the hills surrounding the valleys.

I am the resonant Om,

The cosmic sound of the universe and every mantra that springs from it.

I am all that grows upon the earth,

God of fire,

God of wealth,

The supreme spirit I am.

I am the priest,

The army general,

The poet,

The sage,

And the healer.

I am the animals that roam the earth and the birds and insects that fly.

I am the slithering serpent.

I am the thunderbolt in every weapon as well as the puck that plays with lovers.

I am the time of death and its angel.

I am the lion,

The water,

And the air purifying all.

I am the warrior,

I am the song.

I am knowledge of the supreme self.

I am logic of the logician.

I am the letter A among all the alphabets.

I am the splendor of the splendid,

Victory of the victorious,

Resolution of the resolute.

I am the fraud of the gambler and the goodness of the good.

I am silence among the secrets and the self-knowledge of the knowledgeable.

I am eternity and have endless faces.

I am the guardian angel.

I am the all-devouring death and the origin of all futures.

I am all seasons,

All months,

All hours.

I am time and timeless.

I am the power of rulers,

The statesmanship of the seekers of victory.

I am the origin of all beings,

Oh,

Arjuna.

There is nothing animate or inanimate that can exist without me.

Breathe.

These remain in silence for a few minutes.

You may continue to gaze at your reflection or rest and close your eyes,

Diving deep inside.

All season,

Bun wants the Seven Night Now,

Please rub the palms of your hands together.

When they are warm,

Place your cupped hands gently over your eyes and rest.

Softly open your eyes and lower your hands to prayer in front of your heart.

Bow to yourself.

That concludes this meditation.
