Welcome to this full moon reset for a tapping practice to release stress.
I'm so glad you're here.
It's so helpful that we have this full moon energy today because it really helps us to release what is no longer serving us.
The practice we are embarking on in this session will be especially beneficial for you when you're noticing a strong inner critic.
The voice that tells us we should be doing more,
Doing better,
Doing it perfectly.
So our practice is simple today.
We're going to interrupt that voice.
We're not going to fight against it.
We're just going to gently rewrite the narrative in the body.
So this tapping session is an opportunity to calm the nervous system,
Release stored and return to a steadier internal rhythm.
So wherever you are,
Begin by getting comfortable.
I recommend a comfortable seated position and just settling into the space around you.
And as you're ready,
You can close your eyes or soften your gaze if you want to.
Taking a slow breath in through your nose.
And a longer breath out your mouth.
Let's do that again.
Inhaling.
And exhaling a little longer.
Allowing your shoulders to soften a little.
Allowing your jaw to unclench.
Feeling the muscles around the eyes relax.
Nothing you need to get right.
Just arriving.
And bringing both hands to the heart.
Breathing into the heart.
And out of the heart.
And just notice how intense the voice of the inner critic is from zero to ten.
Ten being maximally critical.
Zero being non-existent.
And we'll begin tapping on the side of the hand.
The karate chop point.
Gently tapping with two or three or four fingers.
And repeat silently or out loud.
Either the words I say or make them your own.
Even though part of me feels pressure to hold everything together.
I'm open to softening that pressure.
Take a breath.
Even though my inner critic has been loud lately.
I'm willing to listen to my body instead.
Take a breath.
Even though I sometimes feel like I should be doing more.
Fixing more.
Managing more.
I am learning to return to my own rhythm.
Take a breath.
Now bringing both hands to the heart.
Breathing into the heart.
And breathing out of the heart.
And just noticing how strong that inner critic voice is inside of you from zero to ten.
In this moment.
And we'll start at the eyebrow point.
Point to the inside of the eyebrow.
Tap gently and repeat after me if you like.
This pressure to hold everything together.
Breath.
Side of the eye.
Outside.
This voice that tells me I should be doing more.
Breath.
Under the eye.
All this stress moving through my system.
Breath.
Under the nose.
All this mental clutter.
Breath.
Under the mouth.
Under the bottom lip.
All the ways I've been hard on myself.
Breath.
Collarbone.
This habit of pushing.
Of trying to get it right.
Under the arm.
Trying to stay in control.
Trying to keep everything together.
Breath.
Top of the head.
No wonder my body feels tense.
Breath.
Bringing both hands to your heart.
Breathing into the heart.
And breathing out of the heart.
Notice what you're aware of in your body.
All is welcome.
How intense does the inner critic seem from zero to ten in this moment?
Just noticing without judgment.
Any answer is perfectly okay.
Now for the second round,
We will interrupt the critic.
Returning to the eyebrow point.
The inside of the eyebrow.
This inner critic.
Deep breath.
Outside of the eyebrow.
This voice that believes pressure will make things better.
Breath.
Under the eye.
But my body doesn't thrive under pressure.
Breath.
Under the nose.
My body thrives with steadiness.
Breath.
Under the bottom lip.
With space.
Breath.
Collarbone with compassion.
Under the arm.
I don't have to bully myself into growth.
Breath.
Top of the head.
I can relate to myself differently.
Breath.
Bringing a hand or two to the heart.
Taking a breath in to the heart.
And just noticing how strong that inner critic voice feels from zero to ten.
And for the third round,
We will rewrite the narrative.
Inside of the eyebrow.
What if my body already knows the way?
Breath.
Outside of the eyebrow.
What if clarity doesn't come from pressure?
Breath.
Under the eye.
But from listening.
Under the nose.
From slowing down enough to hear myself.
Breath.
Under the bottom lip.
From trusting my own rhythm.
Collarbone.
Letting my nervous system settle.
Breath.
Under the arm.
Letting my body recalibrate.
Top of the head.
Returning to inner steadiness.
Breath.
Letting the tapping pause for a moment.
Hand or two on the heart.
Just feeling your body.
Noticing how strong the inner critic is from zero to ten in this moment.
And we're moving into the final affirmation round.
So we'll just allow these statements to land in the nervous system.
Tapping gently at the eyebrow point or your favorite tapping point.
My body is sovereign.
Breath.
Next favorite tapping point.
My voice is intelligent.
Breath.
Next tapping point of your choice.
My power is relational.
Breath.
Under the nose.
My intuition is trustworthy.
Next tapping point.
I can soften the voice of the inner critic.
Collarbone.
And strengthen the voice of my inner knowing.
Next tapping point.
I am allowed to move at my own pace.
Top of the head.
And trust the wisdom of my body.
Breath.
Let it go.
Let your hands come to rest at your heart.
Breathing into your heart.
And out of your heart.
Noticing how strong the inner critic feels from zero to ten in this moment.
Noticing how your body feels now compared to when we started.
Maybe lighter.
Maybe calmer.
Maybe just a little more spacious.
Remember the goal isn't perfection.
It's relationship.
A different relationship with your thoughts.
Allowing it to evolve to your benefit.
A different relationship with your body.
Allowing it to evolve to your benefit.
And a more compassionate relationship with your own pace.
Whenever you're ready,
You can begin to gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
Maybe roll into your shoulders.
And if your eyes have been closed,
You can slowly open them.
Thank you for practicing with me.
And may this full moon remind you that clarity doesn't come from pushing harder.
It comes from returning to yourself.
May you continue to do so.
Bye for now.
Come back anytime you need this.
