Namaste,
Welcome to this spring equinox meditation,
A gentle space to release,
Reset and rebalance.
The spring equinox is a moment in nature where day and night are equal which is a reminder that balance is always available to us even in the middle of a change.
So take a moment to settle into a comfortable position,
Allow your hands to rest softly,
Let your shoulders relax and when you're ready gently close your eyes.
Take a slow deep breath in through the nose and exhale softly through the mouth.
Again inhale deeply,
Exhale completely.
Now allow yourself to arrive here fully.
Now let's begin to notice the natural rhythm of the breath without trying to change anything,
Just observing and slowly we bring a gentle balance to the breath.
Let's inhale for a count of four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Exhale four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Continue.
Inhale equal length,
Exhale equal length.
Let the steady rhythm become your anchor and as you breathe this way imagine you're breathing in balance,
Breathing out anything that feels out of sync.
Inhale balance,
Exhale release and let's stay here for a few more moments.
Now gently bring your awareness inward.
Notice if there is any heaviness you have been carrying,
Any stress,
Any thoughts,
Any emotions that feel like they belong to a past moment and no need to analyze just notice and with each exhale imagine you're releasing a little bit of that weight.
Let it soften,
Let it melt away like the winter slowly dissolving into the spring.
You don't have to carry everything forward.
Breathe in,
You create space,
Breathe out,
You let go and if it feels right you can silently say to yourself I release what no longer serves me.
Again I release what no longer serves me.
Now in this space you have created notice the sense of lightness.
The spring equinox reminds us life is not about rushing forward.
It is about finding balance within movement.
Feel your breath again,
Study,
Even and notice your body supported,
Grounded.
You're allowed to rest here and you're allowed to grow.
Both can exist together.
Now bring awareness to your heart space.
Imagine a soft gentle light here,
Not too bright,
Not too dim,
Just balanced.
With every breath this light feels steady,
Calm and present.
This is your center and now that you have released and come into your balance this is a moment to gently reset.
In yoga we often use the word sankalpa,
A simple heartfelt intention.
Not a long list,
Just one small seat.
Ask yourself softly what do I want to invite into this new season.
Maybe it's calm,
Maybe it's strength,
Maybe it's patience or joy.
Whatever arises,
Trust it.
Now imagine planting this intention like a small seed deep within you.
With every breath you're nurturing it.
No need to rush.
Growth happens in its own time and silently repeat your intention three times in your mind and now take a moment to feel your whole body again.
Your breath,
Your heart,
Your presence.
Remember that you are in rhythm with the nature.
Releasing,
Rebalancing,
Renewing.
Gently begin to deepen your breath.
Slowly bring small movements to your fingers and your toes and when you're ready gently open your eyes and take the sense of balance with you into the rest of your day,
Into this new season.
