Hello friends,

This is Jamie Wozni here and my good friend David Gandelman asked me to guide you guys into a deep sleep tonight.

So I'm excited to have you along for a really beautiful meditation on sleep.

And one thing I find incredibly helpful for this is to allow ourselves to find presence,

The present moment.

The present moment is filled with everything that we need,

All of our facilities,

Our capacities.

It's filled with peace,

It's filled with healing,

Calm,

Creativity,

Wisdom,

Love,

All of these beautiful things.

And if we spend too much time up in our mind,

It just tends to rev us up,

Which can,

You know,

Cause a harder time sleeping and can put some things out of balance in our life.

So having trouble sleeping is actually a really,

Yes,

I know it's painful sometimes,

But it's a beautiful wake up call just to see the intelligence of our mind,

Of our body saying,

Hey kid,

You're just caught up in your thinking,

You're not in the present moment right now.

And let's bring you back home so that you can find those answers that will help you sleep or you can access that peace and that calm and that spirit that you are in the present moment.

So the more that you allow yourself to practice presence,

Learn what it feels like to be present,

Present is here.

It's not a doing,

It's a opening up to and really an unlearning of who you thought you were,

Which is your thinking.

So without further ado,

Let's settle in to the restful space of the present moment and allow you to drift off into deep sleep.

So go ahead and get comfortable and you're probably lying down.

So just let yourself take a moment to get settled in.

Good closing those eyes.

And let's first begin by just becoming aware of the connection between your physical body and the seat,

The ground,

The bed,

Just that surface that's right underneath of you.

Just starting to let our mind notice all of those tiny points of contact.

There was a study where it took people's brains 11 minutes to catch up to the intention that they were relaxing or settling in.

So if your mind is going wild or replaying the day or thinking about tomorrow,

Don't worry about it.

Just know that there's nothing wrong with that.

That's just what brains do.

And it just might take a minute to catch up.

So it's almost kind of like right now deeper you as the leader and you're going,

Okay,

Let's come over here.

Let's rest and you let your mind slowly catch on as it will in its own time.

And you let your physical body start to settle in as you soften your eyes.

Giving the space right behind your eyes.

You don't need to be anywhere right now.

You don't need to do anything right now.

You don't even need to try to fall asleep right now.

Giving yourself permission to do nothing,

To be lazy,

To pay respect to your being,

The present will not worry so much about the ebbing and flowing of your mind.

So a whole bunch of subjective,

Arbitrary best guesses.

It's made of thought clouds that we take seriously.

But beyond those thought clouds,

That's where your rest lives.

It's just waking up to that bit by bit and you have that capacity in you.

So really let that face soften.

Let the jaw relax,

Creating a little bit of space between the bones.

Let the corners of the lips relax,

Creating a deeper release in the jaw.

And as you're allowing your body to start to settle in,

Just allow your breath to make its way from the belly up to the ribs,

Up to the chest and back out again.

Deep inhale.

Nice and slow exhale,

Gentle release.

And as you inhale and exhale,

Nice and easy,

Let that physical body start to settle in even more.

So you just allow yourself to melt down into the cushions,

Chest softens,

The belly undoes itself noticing if there's any gripping in the diaphragm.

Just let those hips spill into the cushion.

Inhale,

Exhale,

Even softer body down below you.

Just allow yourself to be supported.

Let yourself melt into the surface and see if you can even let yourself melt so far down that you begin to merge with the earth.

The earth holds the weight of your being and you just kind of let go.

You don't want to hold this anymore,

I'm just going to give in.

And as your body softens and you melt,

You let your awareness settle a little bit deeper within.

Just allowing yourself to get present.

You don't need to understand what this means or try hard to get there.

It's who you already are,

It's your default setting.

It's just the you that's not caught up in your thinking.

It's right here,

Peaceful,

Capable,

Wise.

Just allowing yourself to be here.

You're in your body,

You're in the room,

You're in this moment,

Not in time,

But just this one precious momentary unfolding of energy that is your life,

That is life.

You settle a little bit deeper into the quiet space of right here.

And whenever you bounce away from right here,

You're always right here but the mind has the capacity to bounce away from time to time.

We simply notice by the way that we feel.

Look at that,

We become the observer.

I'm caught up in the creative capacity of my mind again.

We have a wisdom within us when we drift too far from home.

We know we're just buying into things that are hurting us innocently.

Things meaning our thoughts.

And so right there from your settled,

Grounded inner console,

You're right here.

You're right in the center of this house that has the capacity to be home to peace or wisdom,

Rest,

Creativity,

Love.

And then sometimes we walk out of the house because we get caught up in all the shiny colors of our thinking.

But just like you leaving a home,

You realize,

Whoop,

Just walked farther away from home.

All I have to do is walk back towards home by letting go of the reins,

Knowing that in your mind it is natural for it to settle when your own awareness catches on to the fact that you're using it innocently against yourself,

Buying into thinking that isn't in alignment of the best that you have available to you inside.

What a perfect system.

And so on your own right now,

I just want you to settle in a little bit deeper,

Nice and easy,

Absolutely nothing to do.

This is already in you.

Just notice we're just watching a little gentle movie.

We're here or we bounce away.

And when we bounce away,

We let go.

And we also let go of needing to time,

Getting back home.

Because that's not on us,

Our mind does that one for us.

And then in that present moment,

You will know exactly what you need.

You will have capacity to peace and rest,

Answers,

Intelligence.

You are whole,

You are complete.

And you're just right here.

You're just right here with me in this moment,

Nowhere else to be.

And then the next and then the next.

You reel everything in.

You needn't get this right,

Just noticing the bouncing around of our inner reality.

And we can choose to stay firmly planted and grounded and right here.

Knowing that this is the most beautiful place to be.

This is who you are.

Okay.

Settling a little bit deeper within,

Nothing to do,

Just gently,

Like a mother-father cub bringing their baby back,

Like just gently reeling yourself back in,

Just right here kid,

This is the safest,

Most peaceful place to be.

The sped up stuff is just a habit that looks really real because it's been around a long time,

But it's just the intelligence of my system that's been around a long time telling me you're caught up,

You're still caught up,

Let go kid,

Let go,

Come back home,

Rest in your spiritual home,

There's gifts for you there.

Let this be simple,

You're just hanging out right here,

You know this,

It's natural to you,

You were born into this presence,

And it's okay to live here,

To have quiet in the mind and to not know ahead,

To have one thing occur to you at a time,

Just let yourself settle into this beautiful quiet space,

Let the mind settle in,

Let the body rest,

Let yourself travel even deeper within,

Let the body rest,

Let yourself travel even deeper within,

This nice quiet hug,

Nothing for you to do,

Nowhere for you to be,

Just drifting even more.

Just drifting even more.

So so just here,

Just home,

Not needing to know,

Not needing to figure it all out,

You have access to a 100% reliable intelligence that lives right here,

And so you can rest deeply knowing that you are held always with the next thing and the next thing.

So letting go of the mind even more,

Like snow falling to the bottom of a snow globe,

You just gently get out of the way,

Let the snow settle,

And settle a little bit deeper within now,

And letting yourself infinitely rest in this space,

And drift off as you will.

Let's infinitely rest in this space,

And drift off as you will.
