Welcome to a guided meditation brought to you by Create the Calm.
As we begin,
Take a moment to settle wherever you are.
Allow your body to find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down,
That allows you to feel both supported and at ease.
Let your hands rest naturally.
Your eyes can soften or close.
Take a slow,
Gentle breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth,
As if you're letting go of the day.
Again,
In and out,
Each breath drawing you more deeply into the present moment.
Let your awareness move through your body,
Like a soft light scanning gently from the crown of your head,
Down through your face and your jaw,
Releasing any tightness,
Down your neck and your shoulders,
Letting them drop away from your ears,
Through your arms,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Down through your hips,
Your legs,
And your feet.
With each exhale,
Feel yourself settling,
Not into effort,
But into being.
The world outside can wait.
Right now,
You are coming home.
There are moments in life when we drift away from ourselves.
We get caught up in tasks,
Expectations,
Noise,
In the endless hum of things that feel urgent,
But rarely matter as much as our peace.
And sometimes,
Without even realizing it,
We forget what our own center feels like.
So this meditation is a return,
A homecoming to the quiet truth that never leaves,
Even when we do.
Take another slow breath.
Imagine you're standing at the threshold of your own heart,
The doorway that leads you inward.
You don't need to knock or ask permission.
This place has been waiting for you.
As you step inside,
Notice what it feels like here.
There's no pressure to change or improve anything.
Simply notice the texture of your inner space.
Maybe there's warmth or stillness.
Perhaps there's just the echo of your own breath moving gently in and out.
You might see this space as a soft glow of light at your center,
Your essence,
Your truest home.
That light has always been there,
Even when clouds of thought or emotion drifted across it.
It's steady,
Ancient,
And wise.
With your next breath,
Imagine drawing that light upward,
Letting it expand into your chest,
Spreading through your shoulders and arms.
Let it move through your throat,
Your face,
Your scalp,
Until you feel surrounded by your own presence.
This is what home feels like.
Repeat softly to yourself,
Either aloud or in your mind,
I am returning to myself.
I belong to this moment.
I am safe within my own being.
Once again,
I am returning to myself.
I belong to this moment.
I am safe within my own being.
Let these words settle,
Not as concepts,
But as sensations.
Feel them land in your body.
Notice how your breath responds.
How your muscles ease.
How something within you begins to remember its rhythm.
Now imagine that the light within you begins to move with your breath,
Expanding slightly as you inhale,
And softening as you exhale.
Like gentle waves rising and falling.
Let the rhythm of your breathing guide you back into harmony.
If thoughts arise,
If memories surface,
Simply let them float by.
They're a part of the journey,
Not interrupted.
They're not distractions.
You're not pushing them away.
You're simply choosing to stay here with yourself.
Perhaps there's a place in you that has felt lost or disconnected.
Invite it back now.
Whisper to it as you might to a child who's wandered away too far.
It's okay.
You can come home now.
Feel that tenderness.
The relief that comes when all parts of you are welcomed back into belonging.
Your mind doesn't need to understand it.
Your body does.
It knows the feeling of wholeness.
Take another breath.
Deep,
Full,
And present.
Feel the weight of your body supported by the earth beneath you.
Notice the quiet pulse of life moving through you,
Grounding you in the here and now.
You might place a hand over your heart or your belly if that feels natural.
Sense your heartbeat beneath your palm,
The steady rhythm that's been with you through every season,
Every storm.
It never left you.
Even when you forgot your way,
It kept calling you back.
Whisper gently,
I trust my rhythm.
I am home within myself.
Let this feeling of home expand,
Not confined to your chest or your skin,
But radiating outward.
Imagine your calm presence filling the space around you,
A quiet field of light that softens everything it touches.
This is what it means to live from your center.
You don't have to force peace.
You remember it.
Stay here for a few slow breaths,
Allowing the calm to settle in deeper layers of your being.
There's no rush,
Nothing to achieve.
You're simply resting in your natural state of wholeness.
Now begin to gently bring awareness back to your surroundings.
Notice the sounds in the air,
The temperature of the room,
The feeling of your body supported beneath you.
As you prepare to rejoin your day or evening,
Carry this sense of inner home with you.
Let it move with your steps,
Your words,
Your choices.
Let it remind you that no matter where life takes you,
No matter how far you wander,
You can always return.
Take one final deep breath in.
And exhale slowly.
