Welcome to this guided meditation brought to you by Create the Calm.
Take a moment to find a comfortable position,
Letting your body be supported.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and release it slowly through your mouth.
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your jaw unclench.
Let your body begin to exhale its holding patterns,
The way it braces against life.
Feel your weight settling downward,
Connecting to the ground beneath you.
Each breath draws you deeper into presence.
Each exhale invites your body to rest.
Notice your heartbeat,
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
Your body already knows how to receive.
It receives every inhale without effort,
Without needing to earn it.
With each breath,
Whisper to yourself,
I am safe to receive.
It's ok to soften.
One more time,
I am safe to receive.
It's ok to soften.
Let those words ripple through you as an invitation.
Now imagine yourself walking along a narrow path that winds through a quiet forest.
Sunlight filters softly through the leaves,
And the air carries the scent of pine and earth.
You can hear the steady rhythm of your own footsteps and the subtle music of birds in the canopy above.
As you walk,
You notice how open the forest feels.
There's space between the trees,
Space for light,
Space for you.
Every living thing here gives and receives in balance.
The trees offer oxygen,
The earth offers nourishment,
The sky offers rain.
And in return,
The forest thrives in quiet harmony.
After a few steps,
You come upon a small clearing.
In the center stands a beautiful ancient tree.
Its branches reach wide and its roots extend deep into the soil.
At its base,
You notice a low hollow,
A natural seat shaped by time.
You feel drawn to sit there,
To rest against its trunk.
As you settle in,
You can feel the life of the tree pulsing beneath your back.
A steady hum of energy,
A rhythm of giving and receiving that never stops.
You realize this tree isn't striving to receive sunlight or water,
It simply opens itself.
It trusts that the sun will rise,
That the rain will come,
That the soil will feed it.
And so it receives effortlessly,
Naturally,
With no shame or resistance.
You take a breath and imagine your own body softening into that same rhythm.
Your spine aligns with the trunk of the tree.
Your breath begins to match the slow inhale and exhale of the earth.
With each inhale,
Imagine light filtering through the leaves above you,
Landing softly on your skin,
Warm,
Golden and gentle.
With each exhale,
Feel the earth beneath you absorb what no longer serves you.
You are both grounded and open.
The light continues to pour down through the branches,
And you begin to feel it entering through the crown of your head,
Flowing down your neck,
Through your chest,
Your belly,
And into your legs.
It fills you not as a rush,
But as a steady stream of warmth and peace.
There's nothing you have to do to earn it.
You don't have to prove your worth or perform,
You only have to allow.
Let the light fill every space that once felt empty.
Let it touch the parts of you that have been waiting to be seen,
Waiting to be cared for.
You can whisper gently,
I am open to receive.
As you breathe,
Notice how your body responds.
Maybe a softening in the chest,
A release in the belly,
A slight warm feeling spreading through your hands.
This is what it feels like to receive.
Safe,
Steady,
Enough.
You rest there,
Bathed in golden light,
Rooted like the tree,
Open,
Receptive,
And alive.
Now let's anchor this feeling with a few affirmations.
You can repeat them silently or aloud.
Let each phrase move through you slowly,
Like sunlight filtering through leaves.
I am open to receive the good that life offers.
I release the belief that I must do more to deserve.
It is safe to let love and support in.
Receiving doesn't take from others,
It allows flow to continue.
I am worthy of ease,
Rest,
And abundance.
I open my heart to gratitude and grace.
I receive nourishment with trust and joy.
What I allow in sustains me and strengthens my capacity to give.
I am part of life's continuous exchange of energy and care.
I am safe to receive fully and freely.
Take a deep breath in,
And let those truths settle into your body,
Like roots reaching deeper into fertile soil.
Now return to the simple rhythm of your breath.
Notice the ease that's present in your body.
Notice any warmth,
Tingling,
Or calm that lingers.
This is the felt sense of receptivity.
It's not something you have to think your way into.
It's something you allow.
When your nervous system feels safe,
The heart naturally opens.
Imagine standing now,
Slowly leaving the base of the great tree.
You run your hand along its trunk in gratitude,
Feeling the rough bark,
Sensing the quiet wisdom within it.
You know that you,
Too,
Have roots and branches,
Your own unique way of giving and receiving.
As you walk back through the forest,
The sunlight feels warmer,
The colors richer.
The air itself seems to meet you halfway,
As if life is breathing with you.
Every inhale is a receiving.
Every exhale a release.
This balance is abundance.
This openness is flow.
Begin to deepen your breath once more.
Feel your body grounded where you sit or lie.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Sensing the life within them.
Gently bring your awareness back to the space around you.
You might place one hand on your heart and one on your belly and whisper,
I am open.
I am grateful.
I am ready to receive.
Let that be your closing intention.
