Welcome.
Before we begin,
Just take a moment to pause.
Allow yourself to arrive fully in this moment.
There's nowhere else you need to go.
Nothing you need to solve.
Nothing you need to become.
For these next few moments.
Allow yourself to put down whatever weight you've been carrying.
Not forever,
Just for now.
And if you wish,
Allow your eyes to gently close.
Take a long,
Slow breath in.
And a soft,
Easy breath out.
And again.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Allowing your shoulders to soften.
Your jaw to relax.
And your body to be held by whatever supports beneath you.
Giving yourself permission to simply be.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine yourself sitting beside a beautiful lake.
Perhaps it's early morning.
The world is quiet.
Birdsong drifts softly upon the breeze.
Gentle sunlight dances across the surface of the water.
And for a moment.
You simply sit.
Observing.
Listening.
And as you look out across the lake.
You begin to notice ripples moving across the water.
Some are small.
Some are large.
Some fresh.
Some that seem to have been travelling from long ago.
And perhaps you begin to realize life itself is much like these waters,
Always changing.
Always moving.
Always responding.
And perhaps you also notice that not every ripple upon these waters was created by you.
Some arrive through circumstances beyond your control.
Some through loss.
Some through disappointment.
Some through the choices and actions of others.
And perhaps storms visited your life that you never invited.
And so without blame.
Without judgement.
Simply acknowledge this truth.
Not every ripple in your life was yours to create.
Perhaps there is compassion to be found in remembering that.
Yet alongside the ripples life has brought,
There are also ripples we created ourselves.
The thoughts we repeat.
The stories we tell ourselves.
The words we speak.
Habits we practice.
Kindness we offer.
Forgiveness we withheld.
Love we give.
And the love we sometimes forget to give ourselves.
Like pebbles dropping into still water.
These tiny moments create circles that travel much further than we often realise.
Not instantly.
Not dramatically.
But slowly.
Quietly.
Day after day.
For life is rarely changed by one great moment.
More often,
It is shaped by thousands of tiny ripples.
Small choices.
Repeated with patience.
Repeated with awareness.
Repeated.
With love.
And perhaps lately,
The water of your life has felt muddy,
Difficult to read.
Uncertain.
Perhaps you have felt lost or overwhelmed.
Perhaps burdened by great regret.
Or shame.
Or disappointment.
And if this is true,
Know that you're not alone,
Because life is both sunshine and storms.
Joy and sorrow.
Clarity and uncertainty.
Growth and loss.
Nothing has gone wrong.
Perhaps you're simply human.
And as you look more closely,
You may notice something extraordinary.
For although the waters appear muddy,
They are rich,
Rich with experience.
Rich with wisdom.
Rich with compassion.
Rich with possibility.
And there,
Rising quietly above the surface,
You notice a beautiful lotus flower.
Strong.
Peaceful.
Patient.
And perhaps you remember that the lotus grows only in rich,
Muddy waters.
Without the mud,
There could be no lotus.
Without challenge,
There could be no courage.
Without uncertainty.
There could be no faith.
Without heartbreak,
Compassion may never deepen.
And perhaps the muddy waters of life are not signs that something has gone wrong.
Perhaps they are signs that something beautiful is still growing within you.
And perhaps you have spent too long waiting.
Waiting for understanding.
Waiting for approval.
Waiting for someone to see your worth.
Waiting for forgiveness or redemption.
But no one knows your whole story.
No one knows what you survived,
The battles you fought,
The fears you carried.
The love you gave.
Or the pain you quietly endured.
And perhaps the person you've been waiting for has always been you.
For perhaps redemption is not something we earn.
Perhaps it's something we allow.
Perhaps the only person capable of truly forgiving you is you.
Not because you were perfect,
But because you were human.
And because the person you were then could only act from the awareness they had at the time.
And the person you are now no longer needs to carry yesterday as a punishment.
Notice the lotus.
No applause.
No audience.
A need to prove itself.
Day by day.
Millimetre by millimetre it rises.
Drawn not by recognition,
But by the light.
And perhaps the greatest transformations are often like this.
Patient.
Invisible.
Not for approval.
Not for praise.
Not even for acknowledgement.
But simply because something deep within whispers.
It is time.
And perhaps healing does not need an audience.
Perhaps growth does not need announcing.
Perhaps becoming more fully yourself is enough.
Now,
Beside the lake,
Notice a smooth stone resting in your hand.
This stone represents one small change.
Not twelve.
Not a hundred.
Just one.
Perhaps it's patience.
Forgiveness.
Or rest.
Perhaps self-love.
Whatever it is,
Feel its weight in your hand.
And when you're ready,
Gently place the stone into the water.
Watching the ripples spread.
Quietly.
Gracefully.
Touching the whole leg.
As you watch the ripple spread.
Understand that the life you seek is rarely built overnight.
It is created by tiny ripples.
Repeated consistently with love.
With awareness.
And with patience.
And perhaps this is why you have returned here today.
Or perhaps this is why you may return again.
Not to become someone else.
Not to fix yourself.
Not because you're broken.
But to remember who you truly are.
And to trust that something beautiful is unfolding.
Even when you cannot yet see it.
And perhaps life is not happening against you.
And perhaps it is not always happening for you.
Perhaps life is simply unfolding through you.
A dance of storms and stillness.
Joy and sorrow.
Clarity and uncertainty.
And whenever the waters become muddy.
Whenever you cannot see the way ahead.
Remember the Lotus.
For rich waters are where the lotus grows.
And healing takes time.
Redemption is possible.
And you need not prove your worth.
You need not explain your growth.
You need not announce your healing.
Like the lotus,
You may simply rise.
Quietly.
Patiently.
Faithfully.
Want for applause.
Not for approval.
But to become more fully yourself.
And perhaps one breath.
One act of forgiveness.
One gentle choice.
One small ripple.
And one quiet return to these waters is all that is needed.
For rich waters are where the lotus grows.
And where the lotus grows,
New life begins.
But for now,
Tread softly.
Trust the timing of your journey.
And may you find joy in the gentle ripples of life.
Namaste.
