Hello and welcome to the Ho'oponopono Meditation.
The aim of this traditional Hawaiian meditation is to help you release any troubling thoughts,
Negative patterns or past wounds that may be holding you back.
Through the power of forgiveness,
We will create a space for healing,
Inner peace and personal transformation.
Ho'oponopono is a profound healing technique that enables you to break free from negative thoughts and emotions that may be preventing you from feeling truly fulfilled.
The word ho means cause in Hawaiian,
While ponopono means perfection or to make right.
Together,
Ho'oponopono translates to correct a mistake or to restore balance.
This practice helps to purify the mind by dissolving burdens of the past,
Allowing clarity,
Peace and self-compassion to emerge.
Everything you perceive,
Your emotions,
Relationships and experiences are influenced by your inner world.
You are a creator of your reality and through this practice you can reclaim your power to shape it with love and forgiveness.
Have you ever noticed how your own thoughts can sometimes become obstacles,
How they can replay past mistakes,
Fill you with doubt or hold you back from stepping into your full potential?
Negative thought patterns can create walls that block our growth and wellbeing,
But just as thoughts can shape our struggles,
They can also guide us towards healing.
Through ho'oponopono we shift our resistance to acceptance from self-judgement to love.
This powerful practice is built upon four core principles,
Repentance,
Forgiveness,
Love and gratitude.
These pillars are woven into the following simple yet transformative mantra,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
I love you,
Thank you.
By repeating these words with intention we open the door to deep emotional release,
Clearing away blockages and inviting harmony within.
This is not about religion,
Belief systems or external forces,
It is a practice of personal responsibility and inner transformation.
Ok,
Let's get comfortable,
Find a position,
Seated or lying,
That you can relax into.
Choose a posture that allows you to feel relaxed while remaining present.
If sitting,
Ensure your spine is upright yet soft,
If lying down,
Let your body rest effortlessly Now close your eyes or soften your gaze,
Allowing the world around you to blur into darkness or the background.
Turn your attention inward and bring your awareness to your breath,
There's nothing to change,
Nothing to control.
Simply observe the natural rhythm of your breath,
The gentle rise and fall,
Like waves on a quiet shore.
Each inhale brings in fresh energy,
Each exhale releases tension.
Let's gently guide the breath into balance,
Bring your focus to the tip of your nose.
As you inhale,
Imagine the breath rising through your nostrils,
Lifting up to the space between your eyebrows,
The third eye.
As you exhale,
Feel the breath flowing gently down from the third eye,
Back through the nose and out into the world.
As you breathe in,
Draw in clarity,
As you breathe out,
Release all that no longer serves you.
Continue this cycle until your breath feels steady,
Balanced and deep.
Okay,
We're going to begin to practice and use our mantra.
Know that I will hold space for you,
Guiding and supporting you throughout.
When the time comes,
I'll bring you back.
I invite you now to start to layer the whole Pono Pono mantra into your breath.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
Thank you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
Thank you.
As you continue to repeat this mantra,
Either internally or externally,
Whichever works best for you today.
Try to visualize the energy that flows through each phrase and the meanings behind them.
I'm sorry,
Acknowledging past hurts,
Both given and received.
Please forgive me,
Releasing blame,
Shame and the burdens carried for too long.
I love you,
Offering compassion to yourself and others.
And thank you,
Embracing gratitude for the lessons and growth that life brings.
You may choose to repeat one phrase per breath,
For example.
Inhale,
I'm sorry.
Exhale,
Please forgive me.
Inhale,
I love you.
Exhale,
Thank you.
Or you may choose to softly recite the full mantra with each inhale and exhale,
For example.
Inhale,
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
Thank you.
Exhale,
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
Thank you.
Find a rhythm that feels natural,
Soothing and cathartic for you today.
This practice may bring up emotions.
If they arise,
Know that this is part of the healing.
There's no need to push them away or engage with them.
Simply observe,
Breathe and allow them to pass like clouds drifting across the sky.
Healing is not about forcing change,
But about making space for transformation to unfold naturally.
Trust that each repetition of the mantra is gently dissolving what no longer serves you.
I will leave you now for a little while to immerse yourself in this practice.
Trust that you're held in this space and when the time comes you'll hear my voice guiding you back.
Okay,
Let's begin.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
Thank you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
Thank you.
Now you continue.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
Thank you.
I invite you to release your mantra and slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Notice how your breath feels.
Notice the softness within you.
Ho'oponopono is most effective when practiced regularly.
Each time you return to it,
You create more space within yourself.
More love.
More peace.
More freedom.
Now take a deep breath in.
Filling yourself with warmth and gratitude.
And then exhale slowly.
Releasing,
Letting go,
Softening.
Carry these feelings with you into the rest of your day.
You are whole.
You are enough.
You are loved.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
