Within each of us are two wolves — one fed by fear, pressure, and comparison, and the other by courage, gratitude, and presence. The one that grows is the one we feed. In this reflective 17-minute meditation, you’ll gently regulate your nervous system and explore the difference between chasing happiness and living with joy. Through quiet pauses and thoughtful reflection, you’ll be invited to reconnect with what truly matters to you — your values, your path, and the “hill” that is truly yours to climb. This practice supports: - emotional clarity - inner alignment - self-defined success - letting go of misaligned habits Feed the wolf of gratitude. Feed the wolf of courage. And remember… You are already on the way.

Welcome,

Make yourself comfortable and allow your eyes to slowly and gently close,

There's nowhere else you need to be.

I invite you now to take a deep breath in through the nose and a long slow exhale through the mouth,

Let the exhale soften the body,

Let the shoulders drop,

Let your jaw relax.

Before we start to reflect we must regulate,

Joy cannot be felt in a body that feels under threat so for now simply focus your awareness on your breath,

No effort,

No control,

Just allow each inhale to take you home and each gentle exhale to start to balance and release you.

Within each of us there are two wolves,

One feeds on fear,

Compassion,

Scarcity,

Resentment and hate,

The other feeds on courage,

Gratitude,

Patience,

Compassion and love,

Neither wolves are evil,

Both are energy but the one that grows is the one we feed.

Attention is nourishment,

Where your focus rests,

Life strengthens.

Without judgement,

Notice which wolf you may have been feeding lately,

Just notice.

Happiness often says,

When this happens then I'll be okay,

When I achieve more,

When I earn more,

When I'm recognised,

When things go my way.

Joy is different though,

Joy lives in the doing,

In the effort,

In the showing up,

In the attending,

Joy is not outcome dependent,

It is process based,

What if the practice itself is actually the reward.

We all want to succeed,

For what does success mean to you?

Not to the world,

Not to social media,

Not to your neighbours or your family,

But to you.

What is the hill you're climbing,

Health,

Integrity,

Peace,

Love,

Creativity,

Presence,

What are you working towards?

If you're climbing a hill that's not of your choosing,

You may eventually reach the top and still feel empty.

The two wolves within you are always hungry,

One feeds on pressure,

One feeds on presence,

Joy does not demand you win,

It invites you to participate.

Every day you have to choose consciously which wolf to feed.

So today I invite you to feed the wolf of gratitude,

The wolf of courage,

Feed the wolf of patience.

Don't have to achieve anything or prove anything to yourself or anyone else today,

You only have to align to make the choice which wolf you are feeding and when you catch yourself feeding the wrong wolf,

Which we all do,

Just stop and feed the right one.

Trust that your life is unfolding the way it should,

That you're evolving as the universe has planned.

And for now,

Let that be enough.

But if something inside you still feels curious,

If there's a quiet sense that there's more,

Then stay with me.

Sometimes alignment is not only about what we feed,

But what we gently stop feeding too.

Is there a habit,

A pattern,

A place,

A conversation that trains you?

Not evil,

Simply misaligning you.

You do not need to fight it,

You only need to stop feeding it.

Every behaviour repeated strengthens a pathway.

Every behaviour gently released weakens one.

There are promises that we all make to the world and there's promises we make to ourselves.

No one applauds us when we keep them,

No one finds us when we break them.

But your body knows,

Your pillow knows,

Your subconscious knows.

Peace is often the quiet reward of kept promises.

Is there a small promise you've made to yourself that you're ready to honour again?

If your goal can be completed,

It can also be lost.

But if your goal is growth,

The journey never ends and it doesn't matter how many stops you take along the way.

Let others focus on when you've won or when you've completed,

It's irrelevant to you anyway because you remain in the becoming,

You revel in the practice,

And you find joy in the doing.

I invite you now to place a hand gently over your heart,

Feel the warmth beneath your palm.

This is where the wolf of wisdom lives.

This is the part of you that knows.

Feed it every day with attention,

With gratitude,

With courage,

With love.

Tonight when you lay your hand on your pillow,

May that pillow feel soft with peace.

May your wolf feel fed,

And tomorrow when you wake,

May you bloom into the best version of yourself.

Namaste.

Thought-provoking! Lots to reflect upon (thank you for the lovely pauses) and to come back to frequently. The two wolves is a new (to me) and entirely relatable concept. Finding joy is one of my favourite things and this meditation left me feeling joyful 😊 Namaste 🙏🏽💚
