Welcome to this short breathwork practice to help you find stillness within your day.
So find a comfortable seated position,
Spine nice and tall,
Head moving slowly up towards the ceiling or the sky.
Gently close down your eyes and let your focus be inwards rather than outwards.
Now start to gently bring your breath in through your nose and send it all the way down past your throat,
Past the centre of your heart and deep down into the very bottom of your stomach.
Now exhale again through the nose and feel the stomach as it starts to deflate and draw back in towards your centre.
Inhale again all the way down to the very bottom of your stomach hold the breath here and then exhale,
Let it go through the nose again.
This time we'll inhale through the nose for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
One,
We'll hold the breath for four,
Three,
Two,
One and then exhale through the nose for four,
Three,
Two,
One and hold again for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Bring the breath again in through the nose for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold the breath for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One and hold again for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Now bring the breath in and counting in your own mind,
Inhale.
Send the breath deep down into the very bottom of your belly,
Hold here.
Exhale through the nose,
Release every last drop of oxygen,
Hold here again and then just releasing the breath,
Bringing it back to its normal rhythm,
Its normal pace.
Bring the breath in again and then releasing completely through the nose or the mouth.
Notice how the breath feels after this short breath work practice to help you find stillness,
Help you find centre and calm in your day no matter what is happening.
You can start to flicker,
Open your eyes and maybe take a gentle stretch up towards the ceiling or the sky with the arms.
Place your hands on your lap and get ready to move into the rest of your day with a little bit more lightness.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
