Hello and welcome.
My name is Caitlin.
I am so honored and humbled that you have chosen to practice this meditation today.
I would like to take a moment to remind you that meditation is a personal practice.
Everything I say here today is invitational.
Please make this practice your own and suited to meet your own needs and preferences.
Today I would like to take you on a journey to a flowing river where I will introduce some affirmations about self compassion and personal growth.
Now that being said,
Find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed for a short while.
Find a comfortable position,
Whether seated or lying down,
Whatever is most comfortable for you.
Close your eyes if that feels okay or just lower your gaze.
Take a deep breath in and a long breath out.
With each breath,
Let go of any tension or stress to the best of your ability.
Focus on your inhale and your exhale however you feel comfortable.
Just notice wherever you feel your breath the most perhaps.
No need to force or change your breath.
Just notice it.
We will stay here for a minute before we embark on our journey to the flowing river and I will begin to introduce the affirmations to you.
Imagine yourself standing on the bank of a serene river.
The water flows gently,
Carrying with it the weight of the world.
This river represents the flow of your life,
Ever-changing and yet constant.
I restore trust in myself.
Feel the steady rhythm of the river.
It flows without hesitation,
Trusting its own path.
Trust in your own inner wisdom and guidance.
You are capable and deserving of trust.
I restore trust in myself.
I make choices and decisions as information comes to me.
Watch as the river bends and curves,
Responding to the terrain.
You too can navigate life's path with grace and flexibility,
Making choices based on the information available to you.
I make choices and decisions as information comes to me.
I make choices and decisions as information comes to me.
I make new choices when I have new information.
The river is constantly changing,
Adapting to its environment.
Just as the river adjusts its course,
You too can change your direction when new information becomes available.
I make new choices when I have new information.
I did the best I could at the time with what I knew.
The river is not judged for its past currents.
Accept your past actions with compassion.
You did your best with the knowledge and resources you had at the time.
I did the best I could at the time with what I knew.

I can honor my complexity.
The river is a complex system with many currents and depths.
Embrace your multifaceted nature.

As you gaze into the river,
See the reflection of your journey.
Observe your past self with compassion and your present self with acceptance.

I utilize my talents.
The river carries with it various elements from smooth stones to vibrant fish.
Your talents are like these elements contributing to the richness of your life.

I apply my learning.
The river is constantly shaping its banks.
Similarly,
You are continually learning and growing,
Applying your knowledge to create a fulfilling life.

I am constantly learning,
Growing,
And evolving.
Like the river,
You are in a state of perpetual motion.
Embrace the journey of self-discovery and growth.

I accept my flaws and my strengths.
The river has both calm and turbulent waters.
Accept all aspects of yourself,
For they contribute to your unique identity.
I accept my flaws and my strengths.

I approach challenges with strengths.
Imagine the river encountering rocks and obstacles.
It finds a way around or through them,
Demonstrating resilience.
Approach challenges with your own inner strength.

I accept challenges because they allow me to develop trust in myself.
Every bend in the river is an opportunity for growth.
Embrace challenges as opportunities to strengthen your character,
And build trust in your own abilities.
I accept challenges because they allow me to develop trust in myself.

I release fear and I choose trust.
The river flows confidently,
Regardless of the obstacles in its path.
Let go of fear and trust in your own inner guidance.
I release fear and I choose trust.
I release fear and I choose trust.
I am resilient.
The river endures storms,
Droughts,
And floods,
Yet it continues to flow.
You too possess an inner resilience that allows you to overcome adversity.
I am resilient.
I am resilient.
Take a deep breath in,
Feeling the peace and clarity of the river within you.
Imagine yourself floating on the calm,
Serene river.
The gentle current carries you effortlessly.
You are safe.
You are secure.
You are supported.
Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin,
And the cool breeze on your face.
Let go of any thoughts or worries.
Simply observe them without judgment,
And gently return your focus to your breath.
Let the breath flow freely.
If it resonates,
With each inhale,
Imagine a soft,
Warm light filling your body.
And with each exhale,
Let go of any tension or stress,
To the best of your ability.
When you are ready,
Slowly return to the riverbank.
You are surrounded by peace and tranquility.
Carry this sense of the river's peace and flow with you.
Now,
When you are ready,
Slowly begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Bringing your awareness back to the rest of your body.
If your eyes are closed,
You may begin to open them now,
And slowly bring awareness back to the rest of your surroundings.
Please remember,
You can revisit this river in your mind at any time.
Thank you so much for going on this journey with me.
I am so filled with gratitude that you are here.
Please know you are welcome back anytime.
Blessings and Namaste.
