Embracing consciousness in your daily life,
Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed,
Sitting or laying down in a relaxed position,
With your spine straight and your hands resting on your lap or by your side.
Take a few deep breaths in to centre yourself.
Let's begin by setting an intention for this meditation.
Repeat silently or aloud after me.
I intend to cultivate a state of consciousness in my daily life,
To be fully present,
To live with awareness,
To live with purpose,
To live with joy,
To live with stillness.
Now bring your attention to your body.
We will start with a body scan from the top of your head and slowly down through your body.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort.
As you breathe,
You imagine breathing in fresh healing energy.
As you breathe out,
Imagine releasing any tension,
Allowing your body to relax and soften.
Breathing and feeling now into your head and your neck,
Breathing in fresh healing energy and as you release your breath,
Releasing all and any tension.
Feeling now into your shoulders,
Breathing in fresh healing energy and as you release your breath,
Releasing all and any tension.
Arms and hands,
Feeling into your arms and hands,
Breathing in fresh healing energy and as you release your breath,
Releasing out all and any tension.
Chest,
Bring your awareness to your chest,
Feel into your chest,
Breathing in fresh healing energy and as you release your breath,
Releasing all and any tension.
Moving to your abdomen,
Feeling into your abdomen,
Breathing in healing energy and as you release your breath,
Releasing all and any tension.
Pelvis,
Feeling into your pelvis,
Breathing in fresh healing energy and as you release,
Releasing all tension.
Legs and feet,
Feeling into your legs and your feet,
Breathing in fresh healing energy and as you release your breath,
Releasing all and any tension.
And with your awareness,
Just with your breath now,
Notice the natural flow of your breath without trying to control it,
Just observing your natural breath,
Watching and feeling the sensations of your breath as it moves in and moves out of your body.
Just stay present with your breath.
You know you can always use your breath as an anchor into the present moment.
As you just breathe,
You can observe your thoughts as they arise and just acknowledging them without judgment and gently bringing your focus back to your breath from any thoughts.
As new thoughts arise,
Just let them.
Imagine your thoughts are like clouds passing by in the sky and while you remain anchored and centered,
You are like the open sky.
Now expanding your awareness beyond your breath to encompass your entire being.
Feel the aliveness and the energy within you.
Become aware of any emotions or sensations that arise and accept them with compassion.
As you walk through this life,
You want to visualize moments of joy and fun and laughter with your friends and family and noticing the joy that embracing silliness and fun.
Maybe you can recall times when you were carefree and silly as a child,
Allowing laughter to flow freely.
Embrace these memories,
Feeling the warmth and the happiness that they bring.
Throughout your day,
You have interactions with family and friends.
Now you see if you can more and more each day bring mindfulness into your interactions with all others.
You practice listening when they are speaking.
You're being fully present and engaged in conversations,
Expressing kindness and love in all your words and actions.
And as you're becoming more mindful,
You have a gratitude practice.
Each day you take time to express gratitude for the moments you have shared with loved ones and the joyous experiences you have encountered.
You reflect on the positive connections and the laughter that filled your heart.
And you understand that life is not always about being serious,
So you make sure that you have time for fun and play.
You make time for fun and play when you're on your own or when you are with family and friends.
More and more you engage in activities that bring you joy,
Whether it's walking through nature,
Playing games,
Creating art,
Dancing,
Or engaging in any other hobbies.
You now find more time for these things in your life,
Whether it's by yourself or with friends.
You recognize that life has its serious moments,
But you allow yourself to balance the serious moments with lightfulness and playfulness.
You find you can always infuse humor and stillness into your daily life.
And you practice self-compassion and extend it to others as well.
When you encounter challenges or you make mistakes,
You approach them with kindness rather than judging yourself.
And at the end of each day,
You try to take a few moments to return to stillness through meditation.
You reflect on the day's experiences,
Acknowledging your different states of consciousness during each day,
At work,
At play,
Joy,
Stillness.
And you look at all these things without any self-criticism.
For the last part of this meditation,
We are going to engage in our senses.
So take a few breaths,
And then when you feel ready,
You can slowly open your eyes.
I'd like you just to observe your surroundings without getting caught up in labeling or interpreting what you see.
Just engage your senses,
Fully noticing the colors,
Shapes,
And textures of the things around you.
Remember by embracing a state of consciousness that incorporates joy,
Laughter,
Stillness,
You can create a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
This approach to daily living allows you to cherish precious moments with loved ones,
Experience the richness of life's full joys,
And cultivate a sense of lightness and playfulness even in the face of challenges.
By bringing this practice with you into your daily life,
Your daily interactions,
You are allowing your state of consciousness to shape a happier and more connected existence with yourself and others.
By being fully present and aware,
You can enjoy the richness of each moment of your life,
Deepening your connection with others,
And finding greater peace and fulfillment in your daily existence.
I invite you now just to close your eyes again,
And just go within,
And just one more time feel into your body what it's like to be fully aware and fully present with yourself,
So you can enjoy the richness of each moment,
So you can deepen your connection with others,
And find greater peace and fulfillment in your daily existence.
You can bring this peace and this stillness and this joy with you anywhere,
All the time in your life.
