Hi,
Frankie here,
Welcome to this inner child meditation,
Releasing Fear.
This is part of a powerful series designed to help you reconnect and heal your inner child.
Each meditation in this series focuses on a different aspect of inner child work,
From healing emotional wounds and rediscovering your joy,
To offering forgiveness and reclaiming your inner strength.
By nurturing your inner child,
You create a foundation of self-love,
Confidence and emotional freedom.
In this meditation,
If or when emotions come up,
Let them flow,
Hug yourself and your inner child.
Remember,
If emotions become too strong,
You can push pause and come back at a later time.
We are not here to push,
We are here to create space and healing.
Take a moment to settle in,
Knowing that this is a safe space for you to heal and grow.
Now let's begin with some gentle breaths in and out of the body,
Taking a slow,
Deep breath in,
Letting your belly expand on the inhale,
And exhaling gently,
Your belly contracting.
Again,
Inhale,
Breathing deeply,
Belly expanding,
And gently exhaling,
Belly contracting.
Another deeper breath in now,
Your belly expanding,
Your chest expanding also,
Bringing your awareness to your heart space,
And letting your breath go slowly.
Another just like this,
Deeper breath in now,
Your belly expanding,
Your chest expanding also,
Bringing your awareness to your heart space,
And letting your breath go slowly.
Let your breath now find its own soft,
Steady rhythm,
And begin to notice your body.
How does your body feel right now?
Bring in relaxation,
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your hands rest,
Soften the muscles around your eyes.
Let your jaw gently release.
Today's inner child journey is for releasing fear,
A time to return to the part of you that was afraid,
The part of you that didn't feel safe,
The part of you who was left to carry fear.
Today,
You are going to meet that part of yourself with compassion,
Understanding,
And safety,
Not to push fear away,
But to bring love into it.
So let your body relax just a little more with each breath you take.
Let yourself settle into your quiet inner space.
You could be laying down or seated.
You do not have to do anything right now.
You do not have to fix anything.
You are simply here to be with yourself.
Now bring your awareness into your heart space.
Feel its rhythm,
Soft and steady,
Always beating for you.
Begin to imagine a gentle light forming in your heart space now.
This light is your calm presence.
This light is safety.
Let it grow with every breath you take.
Feel it expand with every inhale.
Let every exhale be a release of fear.
That's right,
Every inhale softening the body more.
Every exhale releasing all you don't need.
Today's inner child journey is for healing fear.
A time to return to the part of you that was afraid.
The part of you that didn't feel safe.
To the part of you who was left to carry fear alone.
Today you are going to meet that part of yourself with compassion,
Understanding and safety.
This is not to push fear away,
But to bring love into it.
So let your body relax just a little more with each breath.
Let yourself settle into this quiet inner space.
You don't have to do anything right now.
You don't have to fix anything.
You are simply here.
Simply being with yourself.
Now bring your awareness to your heart.
Feel its rhythm,
Soft and steady.
Begin to imagine a gentle light forming at your heart space.
This light is your calm presence.
This light is safety.
Let it grow with every inhale now.
And let it expand through your body with every exhale.
Now when you are ready,
Begin to invite in your inner child into your awareness.
Let them come forward at the age when fear began to take space inside you.
Maybe they are very small.
Perhaps hiding under a blanket or behind a door.
Maybe they are standing still,
Frozen in a place.
Maybe they are holding something close.
A toy,
A stuffed animal,
A memory.
However they look for you is perfect.
Notice their posture.
The look in their eyes.
The way they are breathing.
Approach them gently.
Sit down so you are eye level with them.
Let your energy say to them,
It's okay now.
I am here.
Say softly,
I see you.
I know you've been afraid.
I know how long you've had to hold this fear on your own.
Notice how they respond.
Do they lean in?
Do they look away?
Whatever arises is perfect.
Just be here with them.
Now ask gently,
What were you afraid of?
Let the answer come.
A memory.
A feeling.
A feeling.
Perhaps just a word.
You might see the face of someone who scared you.
You might remember being left alone in moments when you needed comfort.
You might recall the pressure to be strong when you were really trembling inside.
Whatever comes,
Let it come.
Let it be seen.
Let it be heard.
Now place a hand on your heart and gently reach towards your inner child.
Let them feel your presence.
Let them feel your breath.
Let them know you don't have to be brave anymore.
You don't have to carry this fear alone.
I am here now,
And I will stay.
Now breathe together.
Let the rhythm of your breath begin to settle theirs.
Let them feel the safety of your body,
Your eyes,
Your love.
Now imagine bringing your inner child to a place where fear is gently held.
A space that feels calm and protected.
Maybe it's a cozy tent with soft fairy lights.
Maybe it's a walk holding hands down a path.
Perhaps the sounds of waves.
Or a blanket wrapped around both of you.
Maybe it's your arms holding them close.
Let them rest here.
Let them soften.
Now speak these words slowly,
As if you're wrapping each sentence around them like a warm blanket.
It's okay to be afraid sometimes.
Fear doesn't make you weak.
It means you need comfort.
You never should have had to face it alone.
I am here now.
You are safe with me.
You don't have to hide anymore.
Let them feel each truth settle into their nervous system.
Let the weight of fear begin to lift.
Now hold them close,
Physically in your mind's eye.
Or hug them with your arms.
Let them hear your heartbeat.
Let their body rest into yours.
Whisper softly,
I will protect you.
I will never abandon you.
When fear comes,
I will hold your hand.
You don't have to be small or silent for me to love you.
Let this connection grow stronger.
Let them feel seen,
Held,
Safe.
Now offer them these affirmations,
Slowly,
With breath,
Between each one.
I am safe now.
My inner child is loved and protected.
I can feel fear without being consumed by it.
My body knows how to return to calm.
I meet fear with compassion and presence.
I am not alone anymore.
Let your inner child receive these words deeply.
Let their face begin to soften.
Let their shoulders relax.
Let them know they've been heard.
They are not alone.
Now begin to see them surrounded by a soft light again.
Let the light grow brighter,
Wrapping around both of you.
Imagine that the light gently merges back into your heart space.
Not disappearing,
But becoming one with you again.
The frightened child has been met with love.
They are part of your wholeness now.
Take a deep breath in,
And slowly let it out.
Feel your heart.
Feel your body.
Feel the quiet presence of your inner strength.
Now slowly,
Gently,
Bring your awareness back into your surroundings.
Noticing the ground beneath you.
The air on your skin.
The rhythm of your breath.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
Softly open your eyes.
You have just returned to the part of you that once trembled in the dark.
And you brought them light.
You are no longer ruled by fear.
You are now led by love.
And your inner child is safe.
Because they are with you.
Blessings on your journey.
Namaste.
