Hello and welcome.

This is Bailey Barber and I'm so grateful you are here with me tonight.

In this session tonight,

I will be sending you distance Reiki while guiding you through a yoga nidra practice.

My sound healing music with delta binaural beats and 174 Hz frequency will continue to play.

The 174 Hz solfegio frequency helps to release tension and stress in the body as well as helps with any pain or discomfort you may be experiencing.

I hope this practice brings you a beautiful night's sleep and that you wake up feeling refreshed,

Restored,

And rested for tomorrow.

This session tonight is specifically created to stimulate and soothe your vagus nerve,

Helping your body move deeply into the parasympathetic side of the nervous system,

The side associated with rest,

Relaxation,

And healing.

The vagus nerve is a major pathway of the nervous system,

And when it is activated,

Your body receives a clear signal that it is safe to rest and restore itself.

So I invite you to find a comfortable position,

Perhaps lying on your back,

Letting your legs rest naturally.

You can place a pillow under your knees if that feels comfortable,

And let your arms either fall gently by your sides,

Palms facing up,

Or in whatever comfortable position you find.

Get your blanket all settled in whatever position feels most nourishing,

And just taking a few more moments to get yourself as comfortable as you can.

Once you're all settled in,

You can gently close down your eyes,

Letting your body sink into the supportive surface beneath you.

And take a slow,

Gentle inhale,

Filling your lungs completely,

And exhale fully,

Releasing the weight of the day.

Breathing in deeply,

Exhaling completely,

And with each inhale,

Start to feel your body soften.

And with each exhale,

Gently let go of the layers of your day,

Of any tension,

Of anything you wish to release.

And now let your breath find its natural rhythm,

Soft and effortless,

And bring your awareness to your heart space.

And we will now set our sankalpa for this practice,

Which is your intention,

A short,

Positive statement in the present tense.

It could be something like,

I am calm,

I am safe to sleep,

I rest deeply.

Whatever feels right for you is perfect.

And once you have your sankalpa,

Silently repeat it to yourself three times,

Letting the vibrations of the words settle gently into your heart space.

And now I invite you to imagine a soft current of Reiki energy gathering above the crown of your head as I begin to send you distance Reiki now.

This light is like moonlight mixed with warm starlight,

Gentle and full of love and compassion.

And the light starts to pool at the crown of your head and then spills down like a waterfall of peace over the crown of your head,

Softening the space there.

It flows down your forehead,

Between your eyebrows,

The eyes resting deeply in their sockets.

It flows down your cheeks and your jaw,

Melting away any tension,

Gently releasing the tongue from the roof of the mouth.

It flows down the sides and the back of your head,

Softening as it flows.

It continues down through your neck and throat,

Bringing peace and alignment,

Helping you to breathe even easier.

It flows down into your shoulders,

Gently melting away any heaviness in your shoulders and upper back.

It flows into your heart space,

Helping to open this portal of love and light,

Your connection to the cosmos and all of your inner wisdom.

And the energy swirls in and around this space,

Helping to clear away anything that is no longer serving you.

That may be blocking you from feeling connected to all that is,

Helping you to feel more connected to the oneness and the love of the universe.

And the Reiki energy flows down from your shoulders,

Into your arms,

Around and into your elbows,

And all the way out through your fingertips.

Until your whole upper body is bathed in this Reiki light.

It flows down from your heart space,

Into your upper back and upper abdomen,

Flowing in and around your lungs and your organs,

Down into your lower back and pelvis.

Bathing every cell and every organ with this healing light,

Restoring balance and harmony as it flows.

And as it flows in and around your abdomen,

It begins to awaken the vaguest nerve,

Helping your body to feel even more at ease and at peace.

And the energy flows down your legs,

Your thighs,

In and around your knees,

Your shins,

Ankles,

Down through your heels.

And it flows all the way out through the tips of your toes,

Until your whole body is wrapped in this loving life force energy.

You are safe.

You are supported.

And your nervous system and body understands it's time to let go.

And now gently move your awareness as I guide you through this rotation of consciousness.

Moving slowly,

Like a soft spotlight,

Allowing the energy to flow with your attention.

Right hand.

Index finger.

Middle finger.

Back of the hand.

Wrist.

Forearm.

Shoulder.

Collarbone.

Front of the chest.

Side of the ribs.

Back of the ribs.

Sole of the foot.

Top of the foot.

Big toe.

Second toe.

Third toe.

Fourth toe.

Left side.

Back of the hand.

Wrist.

Shoulder.

Left front of the chest.

Left side of the ribs.

Second toe.

Left shoulder blade.

Temples.

Eyelashes.

Bridge of the nose.

Tip of the nose.

Upper chest.

Mid chest.

Heart center.

Solar plexus.

Pelvis.

See as a single field of awareness,

All of the cells alive with light,

Heart steady.

Imagine now that you are laying in a soft meadow at night,

Warm earth and gentle grass.

Around you,

Fireflies dance like tiny lanterns.

Each breath deepens your comfort.

Each exhale softens your nervous system even more.

You are an endless expanse of stars,

Twinkling like diamonds scattered across a velvet sky.

The Milky Way stretches overhead,

A shimmering river of light.

You feel a gentle breeze brush your skin.

Like the earth is whispering to you,

You are safe here.

As you breathe,

Your vagus nerve draws in this feeling of safety and spreads it like starlight throughout your body.

Nothing to do.

No expectations.

Just rest,

Held by the earth,

Bathed in healing light.

Softened by the starlight,

Let the sound carry you into deeper relaxation,

Into sleep.

You are safe.

You can sleep deeply now.
