This is Bailey Barber and I'm so grateful you are here with me tonight.
Tonight's practice is designed to gently support your vagus nerve,
The part of your nervous system that helps you feel safe,
Calm,
And at ease.
This is your time to rest,
Nothing to figure out,
Nothing to do.
Begin to settle into a comfortable position,
Lying down.
Let your body be fully supported,
Simply allowing your body to receive.
And once you are all settled in,
With your pillows and blankets arranged comfortably,
I invite you to gently close down your eyes and take a slow,
Grounding breath in through the nose and a long,
Releasing exhale through the mouth.
And again,
A deep,
Cleansing inhale and a long,
Slow exhale.
Gently let the breath return to its natural cadence and feel your body starting to sink down.
You are supported,
You are safe.
Bring your awareness now to your heart space,
This quiet place within you.
This is where we plant your intention for our practice tonight,
Known as your sankalpa.
A simple phrase spoken in the present tense,
Perhaps something like,
I am safe in my body to rest.
I am calm and supported as I sleep.
Let it arise naturally and once you have your sankalpa,
Repeat it silently three times,
Letting it settle gently into your heart space.
And now I want to share a message with you from my angelic guide team,
Who calls themselves Andromeda.
I connected with these beautiful beings of light through angelic Reiki and they have a message of light for you now.
Dear one,
You are the light in which you are seeking.
This light dwells within you,
It always has.
The state of the world and your life cannot diminish your light,
Only distract you from its presence.
You are made of light and the light within you is silently waiting for you to answer its call home.
As you connect with the light of Reiki in your sleep tonight,
Let it connect with the light within you so you awaken to a brighter day tomorrow.

Gently let these words land and begin to imagine a soft,
Warm light floating just above your head.
As I begin to send you distance Reiki now,
This light is the light of Reiki,
Gentle,
Slow,
Intelligent,
Flowing exactly where your body needs it most.
With your next inhale and exhale,
Allow this light to enter through the crown of your head as if you were breathing it in through the top of your head.
As it flows,
It softens the mind,
Quieting the thoughts,
Flowing down into the face,
Relaxing the eyes,
The jaw,
Down into the throat.
This is where the vagus nerve begins to soften.
A gentle warmth spreading here,
Releasing any tightness,
The breath becoming slower,
More natural.
The light moves into the chest,
Surrounding the heart,
Softening its rhythm,
Creating space for the light to fill.
A feeling of safety begins to spread down into the diaphragm,
Allowing the breath to deepen into the belly,
Soft,
Expanding.
This is the body receiving the signal,
You are safe.
You can rest.
The energy moves into the back of the body now,
Along the spine,
Supporting the entire nervous system,
A gentle wave of calm flowing downwards into the hips,
The legs,
The feet,
Your whole body now,
Bathed in this soft,
Healing energy,
Nothing to do,
Just allowing.
Now,
Gently bring your awareness to your body.
We will move slowly through each part,
Allowing the light and energy you have been invited in to follow your attention,
Simply noticing,
Simply resting.
Bring your attention to your right hand,
Feel each finger,
Middle,
Little finger,
Sense your palm,
The back of your hand,
Your wrist,
And the entire upper arm,
Your shoulder,
Collarbone,
The right side of your chest,
Moving down into your hip and all the way to the top of your foot,
Sensing each toe individually,
And little toe.
Now,
Bring your awareness to your left hand,
Noticing each finger,
Sense your palm,
The right side of your chest,
Big toe,
Second,
Little toe.
Bring your awareness now to your back,
Feel the right shoulder blade,
Left shoulder blade,
And the muscles along your spine,
From tailbone to neck,
Sense your lower back as the energy flows through the back of your neck,
The back of your head,
And the crown of your head.
Gently bring your awareness to your forehead,
Eyebrows,
Eyelashes,
Bridge of the nose,
Tip of your nose,
Solar plexus.
Now,
Feel the whole body as one,
A single field of awareness.
Imagine now you are resting in a quiet ocean cove,
The sun is beginning to set,
The sky painted in soft tones of gold,
Pink,
And amber.
You are lying on warm sand,
The temperature perfect,
The sound of gentle waves moving in and out,
In and out.
Your breath begins to follow this rhythm,
Effortless,
Natural.
Each wave carries away tension,
Each breath brings in calm.
You feel completely held,
The ocean,
The air,
The earth,
All supporting you.
Notice the space between each wave,
The stillness,
The quiet.
Rest there.
You are not separate from this moment.
You are part of it,
Flowing with it,
Safe within it.
Now,
Allow everything to soften even more,
The breath slowing,
The body heavy,
The mind quiet.
You begin to drift,
Floating,
Resting,
Letting go.
There's nothing more to do.
Just rest,
Letting sleep come.
You are safe.
You are held.
You are asleep.
