Hello and welcome.
This is Bailey Barber,
And I'm so grateful you are here with me tonight.
Tonight's practice is a gentle reset for your nervous system.
A return back to your body,
Back to your breath,
Back to a place of safety within you.
There is nothing you need to achieve here,
Nothing to figure out.
You don't need to relax perfectly.
Just allow yourself to arrive exactly as you are.
Begin to settle into your comfortable position,
Lying down,
Letting the body be fully supported by the surface beneath you.
And as you settle in,
Arranging your pillows and blankets so you are warm and comfortable,
Once you find that comfortable position,
Gently close down your eyes,
Bringing your awareness inwards.
Now gently bring your awareness to your breath without changing it,
Just noticing the natural rhythm.
And then slowly begin to deepen the breath.
Inhale gently through the nose,
Filling the belly first,
Then the ribs,
Then the chest.
And exhale softly through the mouth,
Letting go,
Releasing everything.
Again,
Inhale slow and steady,
And exhale longer and softer.
Let the exhale be just a little longer than the inhale,
Sending a signal to your body that it is safe to slow down.
Continue like this.
Inhale,
And exhale.
Inhale,
And exhale.
Inhale,
Each breath softening the body,
Each exhale releasing a layer of tension.
Now begin to feel the weight of your body,
The back of the head,
The head,
The shoulders,
The arms,
The hips,
The legs,
The heels,
All sinking down,
Supported,
Held.
There's nothing you need to hold up anymore.
You can let go,
Feeling held.
Now gently bring your awareness to the space of your heart,
That quiet place within you.
This is where we plant your sankalpa,
Your heartfelt intention for our practice tonight.
Nothing you need to force,
Something that arises naturally.
You can ask yourself softly,
What does my body need right now?
What would feel supportive,
Grounding,
True?
Perhaps it's a feeling of safety,
Or calm,
Or trust.
Let the words come naturally to you,
Simple in the present tense,
As if they are already true.
Perhaps something like,
I rest calmly tonight,
Or I sleep with peace in my heart.
When you have your sankalpa,
Repeat it silently to yourself three times,
Slowly with awareness,
Letting each repetition land deeper into the body,
Planting that seed.
And now I want to share a message from my angelic guide team who calls themselves Andromeda.
I connected with these beautiful beings of light through angelic Reiki,
And they have a message of light they would like to share with you now.
Dear one,
We know you are tired and weary.
We know this time is a challenging one for many on your planet.
This time will pass.
One day you will look back and see the great leaps you are taking as a collective.
This is the time to reignite the light within you,
To let it shine in the midst of the darkness and chaos.
There is nothing you need to do now.
This is your time to rest and reconnect with the divine and sacred light within you.
As you go from your bed tomorrow,
You will bring your light with you to all of those people,
Places,
And beings you interact with.
This is the blessing you bring into your life.
This is the light you share with the world.
You are worthy of this light and worthy of shining this light for all to see.
In love and light,
We leave you.
As these words gently settle in to your heart,
Begin to bring your awareness to this space just above your body.
As I begin to send you distance Reiki now,
Just sensing the subtle field of energy.
This is the light of Reiki,
Not something separate from you,
But something you are already connected to.
Simply notice what is already here.
Bring your awareness to the crown of your head.
Allow your awareness to rest here,
Noticing any sensation or even absence of sensation without trying to change anything.
And now gently move your awareness to the forehead,
The eyes,
The jaw.
Just noticing down into the throat,
Perhaps sensing subtle movement or stillness.
The shoulders,
You may notice a weight or heaviness there or openness.
Let your awareness guide the light without effort down the arms,
Upper arms,
Elbows,
Wrists,
Simply aware.
Now the chest,
The space around the heart.
Notice the breath here,
Not controlling it,
Just allowing it to flow.
The belly rising and falling.
You may begin to notice that the body is breathing itself.
You are not doing the breathing.
The breathing is happening.
Down into the hips,
The legs,
The feet.
Now the whole body.
Not as separate parts,
But as one field of light,
One field of awareness.
And within this field sits the quiet light.
Now gently bring your awareness to your body.
We will move slowly through each part,
Allowing the light and energy you have been invited in to follow your attention.
Simply noticing,
Simply resting.
Bring your attention to your right hand.
Feel each finger.
Middle.
Little finger.
Sense your palm,
The back of your hand,
Your wrist,
Forearm,
And the entire upper arm.
Your shoulder,
Collarbone,
The right side of your chest.
Feel the energy moving down into your hip,
Your thigh,
Ankle,
And all the way to the top of your foot.
Sensing each toe individually,
Big toe,
Second,
And little toe.
Now bring your awareness to your left hand,
Noticing each finger,
Little finger.
Sense your palm,
The back of your hand,
Wrist,
Move your attention down to your hip,
Big toe,
Second,
Little toe.
Bring your awareness now to your back.
Feel the right shoulder blade,
Left shoulder blade,
The muscles along your spine,
From tailbone to neck.
Sense your lower back,
Middle back,
Upper back as the energy flows through the back of your neck,
The back of your head,
And the crown of your head.
Gently bring your awareness to your forehead.
Temples,
Eyebrows,
Eyelashes,
Bridge of the nose,
Tip of your nose,
Solar plexus,
Navel,
Lower belly.
Now feel the whole body resting as one.
Imagine now you are lying beside a quiet forest stream.
It is night,
The air is cool and still.
Above you,
A dark sky scattered with stars.
You can hear the gentle sound of water moving,
Soft,
Steady,
Flowing over smooth stones.
The earth beneath you is soft,
Supporting your whole body.
With each breath,
You feel yourself settling deeper into the surface beneath you.
The sound of the stream becomes your rhythm.
Effortlessly,
Continuous.
Notice the stillness behind the sound,
The quiet that holds everything.
You are not separate from this moment.
You are within it and it is within you.
Nothing to hold,
Nothing to change,
Just resting in awareness.
Now allow everything to soften,
Even your awareness.
No need to follow.
No need to listen closely.
Notice the breath breathing itself.
Notice the body resting itself.
Notice the awareness already here without doing anything.
There's nothing to complete,
Nothing to finish.
Just be,
Just sleep,
Simple presence.
And from here,
You may drift into sleep.
Naturally,
Easily,
You are safe.
You are held,
You are asleep.
