This is Bailey Barber and I'm so grateful you are here with me tonight.
In this session tonight,
I'll be sending you distance Reiki as I guide you through a Yoga Nidra practice designed to activate your vagus nerve.
You will also be listening to my soothing,
Sound-healing music with delta binaural beats and 5-8 Hz frequency that will continue to play through the night.
The vagus nerve is the longest nerve in your body,
Connecting your brain to your heart,
Lungs,
And digestive system.
When the vagus nerve is activated,
Your body naturally slows down,
Your breath deepens,
Your heart rate softens,
Digestion improves,
And your mind begins to feel safe enough to let go.
This is the doorway into deep healing sleep.
And Yoga Nidra,
Reiki,
Sound-healing music,
And deep breathing all help to activate the vagus nerve,
Like gently tuning a string instrument back into harmony.
So as we move through this practice,
You'll be soothing your nervous system,
Activating your vagus nerve,
And preparing your body and mind for deep healing sleep.
So now,
Let's get your space prepared for our session tonight.
So,
Getting your blanket and pillow all set up,
Gently lying down on your back,
With your blanket resting gently over you.
Let your arms rest naturally by your sides,
Palms open towards the sky,
Or resting in whatever way feels most comfortable to you.
Take your time,
Making any small adjustments until your body feels perfectly supported.
And when you're ready,
Gently close down your eyes,
Bringing your awareness inwards,
And feeling the surface beneath you holding and supporting you.
There is nowhere else you need to be,
Nothing to do.
This time is for you.
And gently take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
And exhaling fully out through your mouth,
Releasing the day with your exhale.
And repeating these deep inhales and exhales a few times,
And with each exhale,
Melting the edges of tension away,
And letting go of what is no longer serving you.
Now bring your awareness to your heart center,
That quiet temple inside.
And from here,
We invite your sankalpa,
Your heart's intention.
It is a simple,
Truthful statement,
I sleep well,
I am safe to rest.
Whatever phrase arises naturally,
Trust.
And now,
Silently repeat your sankalpa three times,
Placing it into your heart space,
And letting it ripple out through your body,
Through your energy field.
And now,
Imagine a soft golden light hovering above the crown of your head,
As I begin to send you distance reiki now.
This light glows like moonlight,
Reflected on calm water,
Tranquil,
Alive with reiki energy.
It begins to gently merge with your own life force,
Whispering safety to your nervous system.
And with each slow breath,
Feel the light of reiki begin to drift down through your body,
Following the path of the vaguest nerve,
The great wandering river of calm.
The light touches the crown of your head,
And it starts to unravel any tension in your forehead.
And temples,
The tiny muscles around your eyes release,
And your eyes soften in their sockets.
The energy flows through your cheeks,
Jaw,
And mouth,
Letting them melt.
The tongue relaxes from the roof of the mouth.
This gentle release signals safety to your vaguest nerve.
And the light of reiki flows through your throat and neck,
Breathing and clearing and soothing as it goes,
Breathing more effortlessly.
And the light flows down through your shoulders,
Releasing the burdens you have carried,
And dropping your shoulders away from the ears.
Your breath moves more freely now,
And the chest begins to open,
And the energy softly pulling at the heart center,
The energy softening the heart center,
Slowing your heartbeat,
And signaling to your body that you are safe.
And the light travels down your right arm,
To your elbow,
To your whole right arm,
Filled with healing reiki light.
Then the light travels gently down your left arm,
And every finger,
Until both arms are resting heavy and filled with light.
And the light flows down from your heart space,
Into your belly,
The solar plexus,
And diaphragm.
It spreads warmth and healing through every organ,
Relaxing the muscles.
The belly rises and falls with each breath,
Like waves on a still,
Peaceful sea.
The energy flows down into the hips and pelvis,
Dissolving any emotions or tightness that are held in this space.
It flows down the right leg,
And toes,
And then the left leg,
And toes,
And toes,
Until both legs are completely at ease,
Glowing with this reiki light,
Bathed in its healing energy.
Your body is now filled with this healing energy.
Every fiber is soothed,
Every cell attuned to the vibration of peace.
Wrapped in a cocoon of reiki light,
Supported and grounded in rest.
Stay here,
Breathing gently,
Each inhale drawing light through the vagus nerve,
And from crown to belly,
Each exhale sending calm outwards,
Down the spine,
Across the chest,
And into the limbs,
Your whole nervous system harmonized.
And now we'll move slowly through a gentle rotation of awareness.
Follow along effortlessly,
There's no need to move,
Just simply notice each body part as I name it,
Allowing the reiki energy to flow there with your awareness.

Right side of the body,
Right thumb,
Back of the hand,
Shoulder.
Second,
Left side of the body,
Middle finger,
Little finger,
Left chest,
Left waist,
Left knee,
Left hip,
Left thigh,
Top of the foot,
Big toe,
Second,
Back of the body,
Right buttock,
Left buttock,
Middle back,
Upper back,
Right shoulder blade,
Left shoulder blade,
Back of the neck,
Front of the body,
Forehead,
Lashes,
Nostrils,
Center of the chest,
Heart,
Solar plexus,
Navel.
Now,
Sense your entire body as one luminous,
Resting in stillness.
Now imagine yourself resting in a moonlit meadow.
The air is pleasant and soft with the scent of night blossoms and earth.
A gentle breeze brushes your skin,
Carrying the sound of distant crickets.
Above you,
The night sky stretches endlessly,
Sparkling with starlight,
And each inhale,
The starlight flows into your body through the breath.
Calm ripples through every cell of your body.
You are floating now between earth and sky,
The body rests heavy,
Yet the spirit is light.
Let yourself rest in this sacred stillness.
Let your body slip into deep,
Peaceful sleep.
