Welcome to your spiritual house cleaning.
Time for a spiritual house cleaning.
The intention I'm setting for this meditation is to clarify values and priorities.
So if you would like to take a moment to pause and reflect on what are your priorities and your values right now,
I welcome you to do so.
They can be priorities such as.
.
.
Wealth.
Peace.
Relationships,
Or more general,
Such as harmony.
We're going to sweep up the baggage of your life that may have accumulated in your memory,
In your muscles,
In your bones,
In the way you hold yourself,
In your posture.
And we're going to invite in the metaphor and symbol of a tornado.
I'm recording this outside in the wind,
In the forest,
So you may be hearing background sounds,
And I encourage you to also do this meditation outside or with the window open.
If you are going through a major life transition,
This is.
This is also a divine time for a life transition.
When we think of a tornado,
It is one of the Earth's most powerful forces.
It is destructive.
It tears down objects and its path.
But it also symbolizes the temporary nature of the human structures that we've built.
So that is why during this time of transition,
Of realignment,
Using this symbolization of a tornado is perfectly relevant to tear away those structures and identities that we had in place that may no longer be supporting or fueling our values and priorities.
So of course,
Get yourself comfortable.
And set the intention to rearrange your affairs to put you more in touch with your best self.
Concentrate on the references that apply to you that you hear.
Start to tune in to the rhythm of your body.
The gentle flow of your breath,
The rhythmic pulsing.
The natural stretch and relaxation of your muscles as you inhale and exhale.
Begin to feel the muscles in your face soften,
Your shoulders drop.
Further away from your ears.
And prepare for this inner journey.
Everything else can wait.
Relax into this chair.
Relax your weight and feel that welcome heaviness.
Of what is supporting your body below you.
As you relax more and more deeply.
Tune in to the quiet space that is around you and within you,
Starting to feel the borders of your body and skin merge with the air and ether around you.
Imagine that you could breathe now,
With your entire body.
As you feel this borders blur.
Into the softness and space that surrounds you.
If your eyes are not already closed,
I invite you to close down your eyes and allow your mind's eye to open the gateway and doorway into your subconscious and imagination.
And other things may flash by,
But just gently draw your attention back to your intention.
And to my words.
Imagine that you're walking into an open field.
On a sunny day.
There are clouds passing by overhead,
Billowing huge clouds.
And a light breeze blowing around you.
Feeling that gentle breeze on your cheeks.
And allow yourself to feel that pleasure that this day offers you,
That this moment is offering you.
Breathe it in into all of the cells of your body,
No matter how micro,
Of an amount of pleasure it is.
Breathe it in.
And allow yourself to feel it.
In the distance,
You see that there is a gray cloud.
And you notice that the wind begins to pick up its speed.
Blowing your hair,
Feeling the wind on your lips.
And now you watch this distant cloud swirl and reach down to the earth.
It's forming a tornado.
And although there may be a part of you that wants to react to this chaos,
You know that this is part of the spiritual cleansing.
And as you watch this tornado,
It grows and grows.
The gray tornado grows and grows.
And it draws upon all the energy that you've generated in your life.
It sweeps in all of the heaviness,
It sweeps in all of the transgressions,
The resentments,
Every action.
That you've shouted.
It gets swept up into its force.
And as you're standing in the field,
Watch this tornado sweep towards you.
And you may not be feeling like you're safe from this destruction.
You may be feeling apprehension.
But remember,
With every destruction comes a rebuild.
So allow the weight of your past to be surrendered.
Allow the baggage to be swept up into that whirlwind as this force collects your possessions,
Your failures,
All of the elements feed the tornado and energize it.
And once the tornado's reached its full strength,
It stops before you.
And you realize that the tornado is waiting for you to enter.
Are you ready?
Are you really ready to drop?
Those old stories,
To drop those old resentments,
To allow the destruction of what is no longer serving you to enter into your life.
If you are,
Walk now into the tornado and feel yourself gently lifted into it,
Being carried upward.
With all the old artifacts of your life swirling around you.
Imagining the speed of the wind.
That's tremendous.
But when you look up through the center,
You can see the calmness,
The blue sky.
Just like they say,
In the eye of the storm where everything is calm,
You know the destruction is happening around you.
You know that these habits are ready to be extracted from your life.
And although it may feel chaotic,
It's all part of the process.
And the tornado builds and maintains even greater energy for the job that it has to do to release you from these binds.
The tornado will rearrange your life according to your desires.
It is beyond you.
You are merely just a piece of your life now.
Watch all of the interactions around you fly into the tornado.
Interactions that you held on to that you replayed.
That you revisited,
That tormented you.
Those are all moving into the tornado now.
Some pieces of your life get thrown out,
Objects,
Concerns that don't have any further use.
And other pieces rise because they're ready to change with you as you rise.
Some are too valuable to discard,
So they stay with you.
But others are too heavy,
So they sink down into the depths and shatter.
No need for them to be fixed anymore.
As you rise comfortably now from the column of your tornado,
You notice that the tornado spins where you choose,
Wherever a problem has existed or exists.
At a school,
At your workplace,
Within your life.
The tornado carries there and moves the pieces around.
Moves the boulders,
Uproots the old.
And moves it around to your satisfaction.
Whether it's things that you haven't finished yet,
Misunderstandings.
Concerns with finances,
Your tornado picks them up and spins them into a new combination,
A new possibility.
A new sense of opportunity.
So you can observe now from a new perspective.
And now as the tornado spins.
.
.
You continue to rise calm through the center.
Rising to the top of the tornado.
And imagine that you look down into the landscape.
Where the energy of your life has spiraled.
And usually spirals are feeling out of control.
But you know now that everything is changing for the better.
And it will be rearranged so you have more ease in your life.
Patience,
Understanding,
And awareness.
Of when and how you will take action.
Or inaction.
Finally,
The tornado lowers you down into the empty,
Open field.
And you watch the tornado fade away.
And once again,
You find yourself.
On this beautiful,
Sunny,
Meadowed pasture.
On that warm breezy day.
With the soft breeze caressing your cheeks and a sense of wonder and awe.
Of how chaos can disrupt and realign you once again,
So you can feel refreshed.
Collected.
And enjoy this feeling of feeling good.
And slowly opening your eyes once again to your own familiar landscape.
And I invite you to make any notes describing what was discarded,
What was rearranged.
And note how you feel about these changes with yourself.
Thank you.
