Welcome to this golden light of relaxation meditation.
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Close your eyes gently.
Take a moment to notice how your breath feels.
Is it deep?
Is it shallow?
Is it quick or slow?
Just observe.
Slowly allow your breath to become calm and steady.
With each inhale,
Feel the air filling your lungs,
Inviting calm and ease.
With each exhale,
Allow your body to settle a little deeper into the mat.
Feel the points of contact that your body has with the earth beneath you.
Allow your body to be heavy.
Let the earth support you.
And then begin to notice a warm,
Soothing golden light surrounding your body.
With every inhale,
This golden light grows brighter,
And with every exhale,
It begins to melt away any tension or stress.
Bring your awareness to your feet and feel the golden light gently flowing over them like a wave,
Soothing and relaxing.
As the light moves up your legs,
Feel the tightness in your muscles dissolving and melting away.
Your thighs,
Hips and lower back soften as this golden light continues to flow,
Dissolving any tension,
Discomfort,
Pain or heaviness.
Allow the light to flow upward through your stomach and chest,
Filling these areas with a sense of calm.
As the light flows over your shoulders,
Imagine it melting away the weight you carry,
Leaving your shoulders light and free.
The golden light continues to flow down your arms,
Hands and fingers,
Relaxing each muscle,
Soothing each joint.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Let the light flow up the back of your neck,
Over your head and onto your face.
Exhale and allow that light to melt away any remaining tension.
Feel your entire body bathed in this warm golden glow as it continues to dissolve stress,
Leaving you with a sense of pure relaxation.
Stay here in this golden light for as long as you'd like,
Breathing in peace and calm and allowing yourself to be soothed by the warm glow.
When you're ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to your space,
Back to your body and back to your breath.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and exhale with a gentle sigh.
Flutter your eyes open and continue to enjoy the benefits of that gentle golden light the rest of your day.
