To settle your nervous system and to your breath.
Your comfy position,
Warm and cosy.
Sit up with your spine straight,
Not too rigid.
Feel your breath flowing in.

Just let your shoulders drop down.
Feel a sense of softness flowing through your body.
Relax your shoulders.
Just let your neck feel soft.
Your face is at ease.
Before we begin,
Let's just bring the hands together and start to gently rub your palms,
Generating some warmth back and forth.
Just feel a soft,
Tingling energy between your hands.
Stay with this for a few moments,
Feeling the heat building.
There is an aliveness in your palms.
When you're ready,
Just gently bring your hands to your face.
Feel the warmth.
Feel the energy you've generated.
Now bring your hands to your heart.
Feel the warmth there.
Breathe into your heart space.
Now just raise your elbows out to the sides.
Just roughly level with your shoulders.
Just softly close your ears.
Your fingers rest gently on your eyes.
Just softly,
No pressure.
Just notice the stillness that just this movement makes.
It's a gentle covering,
Creating a cocoon of quiet.
It's a turning inward.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Draw the breath up from your belly,
Up through your chest.
And as you exhale,
Just breathe out with a hmmmm.
Breathe in and release Slowly hmmmm.
Keeping your fingers soft over your eyes.
Deep breath.
Let the sound be smooth,
Steady,
Effortless.
And just feel the gentle vibration.
It might be moving through your face,
Your sinuses,
Your throat,
Your chest.
Just continue in your own time.
Breathing in hmmmm.
As you breathe out.
This humming breath is known to help soothe your nervous system.
Invite your body into a state of calm and safety.
And the vibration can really feel like a soft,
Internal massage.
Settling your mind.
Quietening your body.

Draw you further inward with less doing and more feeling.

Just sit here quietly.
