Welcome to this sacred moment of deep rest and relaxation.
You've arrived here to unwind completely,
To let go of any stress,
Tension or worry that you may be holding onto.
In this breathwork journey we'll explore a unique rhythm of breathing to guide you into a state of profound calm.
So just find yourself a comfortable place to sit or lie down,
Allowing your body to be fully supported by the surface beneath you.
Close your eyes and as we begin,
Take a deep breath in and slowly,
Softly let it go.
Any thoughts or worries or concerns,
Just wrap them up in a handkerchief,
Tie them up with a ribbon,
Place them on a passing cloud and watch them drift far away.
Let them go.
Before we dive deeper into this practice,
Take a moment to connect with your body.
Feel the weight of your body being supported,
Held and grounded.
Notice the points of contact between you and the surface beneath you,
Whether it's the chair,
The floor or your bed.
Allow your shoulders to drop and your jaw to soften.
Slowly begin to feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath without changing anything.
Just observe.
Notice how your breath naturally moves in and out of your body,
Like a wave flowing gently in and out.
And with each exhale,
Allow yourself to settle a little deeper into comfort.
Good.
Now let's explore the rhythm of your breath and heartbeat together.
Gently place your hand on your chest or your wrist to feel the soft pulse of your heartbeat.
In a moment,
We'll begin to align your breath with this rhythm,
Creating a natural flow that brings your body and mind into perfect harmony.
Begin by taking a slow,
Deep breath in,
Counting five heartbeats as you inhale.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
And as you exhale,
Match the length to another five beats.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Breathe in,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Breathe out,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Continue at your own pace,
Letting your heartbeat guide you into a state of calm,
Natural rhythm.
With each inhale,
Feel your body expand with life and energy,
And with each exhale,
Release any tension,
Stress or tightness.
Let your breath and your heartbeat move as one,
Flowing together effortlessly.
Feel the rhythm.
Continue this flow for a few more breaths,
Allowing your awareness to rest solely on the rhythm of your body.
If your mind begins to wander,
Gently bring it back to the steady beat within you.
There is no rush,
Only the peaceful rhythm of your breath and heart carrying you deeper into relaxation.
Now that we've aligned with the natural rhythm of your breath,
We'll shift into a new pattern,
A wave-like breath that brings even more calm and rest.
Begin by inhaling slowly for four counts,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And exhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Now every third breath,
Add a gentle pause on the exhale.
Breathe in for four,
Exhale for four,
And pause here,
Holding the stillness for two counts,
Before breathing in again.
Let's try that again together.
Inhale for four,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One,
And gently pause for two counts,
One,
Two.
Feel the stillness in that brief pause,
Like the ocean pulling back before the next wave arrives.
Continue in your own time.
Each time you pause,
Allow your body to settle even more deeply into this beautiful moment of rest.
Each inhale fills you with calm energy,
And each exhale washes away tension,
Leaving only stillness behind.
Continue this pattern of breathing for the next few moments,
Inhale,
Exhale,
Pause.
With every cycle,
Let yourself sink further into relaxation,
As if each breath were a wave that pulls you deeper into the beautiful ocean of calm.
As we come to the end of this practice,
Return to your natural breath.
Let your breath flow gently and easily now,
Without effort.
Feel the peaceful rhythm of your breath and heartbeat still within you,
Grounding you in this moment of stillness and calm.
Take a moment to observe how relaxed your body feels,
How calm your mind is.
Know that this sacred rhythm is always within you,
A space of peace that you can return to whenever you need it.
Invite a sphere of protective warm,
Golden,
Loving light to be placed all around you and this experience too,
So that all the relaxing,
Serene and restful benefits will stay with you.
Gently bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.
You may gently roll your shoulders or move your neck from side to side.
And when you feel ready,
Take one more deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Let go of anything else that no longer serves you.
As you return to your day,
May you carry this sense of deep relaxation and peace with you,
Knowing that you are always just a few breaths away from calm.
Just take a moment to thank yourself with gratitude for giving yourself this gift of time.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and feel awake,
Calm,
With a sense of renewal and peace.
Know that you can come back to this practice whenever you would like.
Namaste,
My friend.
