Welcome to this meditation.
I invite you to get into a comfortable position and when you're ready place your hands on your belly where your baby lies and then gently close your eyes.
Become aware of your body right now.
Do you notice any areas of tension or tightness?
If you do,
Focus on loosening and softening those areas.
As you take some deep breaths in and out.
Every time you exhale,
Relax your body down.
Paying particular attention to loosening your face,
Jaw,
Shoulders and back.
We're now going to practice a mindful breathing exercise.
When you inhale,
I'd like you to breathe in deeply through your nose,
Feeling your tummy rise.
And when you exhale,
I'd like you to breathe out slowly through your mouth.
And as you exhale,
Say to yourself in your mind,
Release.
Helping you to release any residual tension,
Tightness,
Stress or whatever you want to let go of right now.
Breathing in deeply through the nose.
Breathing out slowly through the mouth.
And saying in your mind,
Release.
Continue breathing like this for a few more rounds.
You're doing really well.
Now,
With your hands still on your belly.
I'd like you to stroke your baby bump as I say some positive affirmations for your pregnancy.
You're welcome to say each affirmation out loud after you hear each one,
So that your baby can hear your voice.
Or simply listen as I say the words to you.
My baby and I are healthy and happy.
I am so grateful for this pregnancy and my precious baby.
The love my baby and I share grows stronger every day.
My baby senses the peace and joy that I feel.
My baby and I are safe and well at all times.
My womb is the perfect home for my baby.
I am surrounded by love.
My baby is surrounded by love.
I give myself permission to relax and enjoy my pregnancy.
I look forward to the day that I meet my baby.
Take a few moments now to spend a few more quiet moments with your baby.
Maybe you would like to think about the things that you're most looking forward to sharing with your baby after they're born.
Maybe you just like to stroke your tummy and say I love you to your baby in your head or out loud.
Maybe you just want to relax and allow the gentle rhythm of your breath to soothe you and your baby.
This meditation is coming to a close now.
So just take a few final deep cleansing breaths.
And then slowly bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
