Embracing unconditional love,
A guided meditation on the heart chakra with Angelica Janic.
Welcome to this chakra meditation which focuses on the heart.
The heart chakra is located in the center of the chest and today's practice we will work on opening and balancing this region of the body.
We will be going through visualization techniques,
Breathing techniques,
And affirmations.
Due to the long seated holds,
Take the time to get as many props,
Blankets,
As you need in order to sit comfortably for 15 to 20 minutes of this meditation.
When you are ready,
Either find a cushion or a chair.
We want the back to be straight and your hands can rest gently on your knees.
If you have not yet,
Close your eyes and bring your awareness toward your breath.
Taking a deep breath in,
Exhale slowly and mindfully.
Taking this time in the beginning of our practice to scan your body,
Tuning in,
Noticing what is going on for you today,
Letting go of any judgment or expectation that may be on your mind today.
Breathing in deeply,
And as you exhale,
Release any tension in your body.
Imagine a golden string from the root of your spine connecting to the center of the earth.
This string goes up through your spinal cord,
Lengthening each vertebrae,
Creating space,
And comes right out the top of your head,
Reaching up to the sky.
Do your best to maintain this straight spine throughout your practice.
Bring your breath back into your belly,
And as you continue to breathe slowly and deeply,
Bring your attention to the center of your chest,
Where your heart chakra is located.
Visualize a green light glowing brightly,
Radiating warmth and love throughout your body.
As you inhale,
Imagine this light growing stronger,
Filling your entire being with its healing energy.
As you exhale,
Release any negative emotion that may be blocking your heart,
Letting go of feelings of resentment,
Jealousy,
Or anger,
And allow yourself to feel love and compassion for yourself and others.
Continuing to focus on the green light in your heart chakra,
And imagine it expanding outward,
Enveloping your entire body in its warmth and love.
Allow this energy to flow freely through you,
Connecting you to your higher self and the universe.
As you sit in this state of openness and love,
We will be going through three affirmations today,
Repeating them three times,
With a pause in between.
Maintain your visualization of the green glow in the center of your chest.

Allow that to settle in the heart.

Hold the peak of your breath before exhaling out of the mouth,
Sitting tall.

Sit with this sense of forgiveness in the heart.

Glowing strongly in the center of the chest.
Know that you can return to this place of love and openness at any time by focusing on your heart chakra and repeating these affirmations to yourself.
Allow the healing energies of the heart to guide you on your journey towards self-love and compassion for all beings.
