Finding peace during uncertainty,
A meditation for coping with job loss with Angelica Janic.
Dealing with job loss can be a challenging and emotional experience,
Causing feelings of uncertainty,
Anxiety,
And stress.
It can be a difficult time,
But meditation can be a powerful tool to help individuals cope with these feelings and find a sense of peace and clarity during this transition.
To begin,
Find a comfortable and quiet place to sit or lie down,
And when you get there,
Take a few deep breaths in through the nose and out of the nose,
Allowing your body and mind to relax.
If you're feeling more tense today,
Inhaling through the nose,
Holding the peak of your inhalation,
Before exhaling out of the mouth,
As you breathe,
Visualize a calm and peaceful scene that can be from a favorite vacation that you took,
Curling up on the couch with a warm cup of tea,
Or perhaps being in a very warm mood.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Focus your attention on your body,
Noticing any areas of discomfort or tension,
And allow yourself to feel the sensations without judgment or resistance.
Simply observe the breath and allow yourself to be present in the moment.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Imagine yourself being surrounded by a supportive and loving community,
Such as family,
Friends,
Colleagues,
Even your pets.
Visualize their love and support surrounding you,
Gratitude for their presence in your life.
As you bask in the warmth and love of this community,
Reflect on your own strength and resilience.
Remember that you are capable of overcoming challenges and that you have the power to transform your life.
Visualize yourself surrounded by a bright and radiant light,
Representing your own inner strength and power.
As you continue to breathe deeply and visualize this inner strength,
Repeat the following affirmations to yourself.
I am strong and resilient and have the power to overcome this challenge.
I am surrounded by love and support and I am grateful for the people in my life.
I trust in the abundance and the flow of the universe and no new opportunities will come my way.
Allow yourself to repeat these affirmations,
Feeling their positive energy resonating within you.
Know that you are not alone in your journey and that you have the love and support of the universe surrounding you.
As you continue to breathe deeply and visualize this positive energy,
Allow yourself to release any negative emotion or thoughts that may be holding you back.
