How come?
This is Alison with MindfulPauseCenter,
And I'm so glad to bring you this practice today.
So taking a moment.
Just notice which posture will serve you in this very moment.
Maybe you can allow intuition to come forward and help you decide what would feel good.
Seated.
Lying down.
Standing,
Perhaps even a slow walking meditation.
Choosing your posture now.
And just noticing what it's like to be this way in the body.
Where is their support?
And I'm going to invite you to Explore sound as a home base.
So bringing your awareness now.
To sound.
Receiving sound.
This is a little bit different than listening.
Listening often will tune in to identify a sound.
And perhaps this is where you begin.
And then,
As you're able,
Softening.
Softening to here.
To receive.
Sounds as they come and go.
Sounds that continue and persist.
Sounds close at hand.
Maybe even sounds inside the body.
Also,
Those sounds that drift in from outside,
Whatever space you're in.
There is a whole dynamic of life unfolding in this very moment.
We have taken our seat in the midst of it all.
We observe,
We bear witness to the unfolding of sound.
Present moment,
Direct experience.
Of life.
Nothing for us to do in this moment.
Observe.
Receive.
As best as you're able.
Resting back and down.
To allow life to unfold.
If the mind has been pulled away or strong emotion has come forward.
Noticing that.
And appreciating.
The way that we notice.
How we get pulled off of our home base.
And that we have the capacity to return and come home again.
So bringing awareness now to sound.
One more time this orchestration of life.
Receiving sound.
And now beginning to move the body in a way that feels good.
Making the movements bigger,
Stretching.
As the eyes open or the gaze lifts,
Orienting to physical space you're in through form,
Color,
Temperature.
