Hello and welcome to this guided meditation practice.
Today we will be doing a body gratitude practice.
So I'd like to invite you to enter your meditation position.
And closing your eyes if this feels comfortable for you.
Just feel into your body.
You notice points of tension,
Perhaps discomfort.
Breathing into these places and releasing.
And we'll just begin with three deep breaths.
So breathing in.
And releasing.
And breathing in.
And releasing.
And last time,
Breathing in.
And releasing.
And now just gently bring your attention to the top of your head.
And just take some time to notice your hair.
Feel the points it falls around your face.
How it cradles your head.
And maybe just say a quiet thank you to your hair.
Now letting your attention wash down to your eyes.
Perhaps they're gazing into the black behind your eyelids right now.
Let's just take a moment to reflect on everything that our eyes do.
How they guide us,
Support us.
How different our lives would be without them.
Take a moment now to thank the universe for this blessing of sight.
Thank you.
And whilst we're here,
Let's just take a few moments to appreciate our ears.
How amazing are they?
How vibrations in the air travel and reach these little orifices in the side of our head.
How then we mentally process this.
Something you're doing right now.
Thank you ears.
Let's now bring our attention to our mouth.
Notice its shape.
How it feels right now.
Our mouth from which we breathe,
We speak,
We kiss,
We smile or cry.
We eat and drink.
Saying a gentle,
I love you mouth.
Thank you mouth for all the blessings you bring to my life.
Now,
Let's just allow our attention to drop down to our throat.
Your vocal cords.
If you wish,
Just take a moment to inhale.
And on your exhale,
Let out a gentle hum.
Feel the vibrations resonating in your throat.
Feel the power and potential stored here.
I love you throat.
Thank you for being there for me.
And now,
Let's move down to our shoulders.
Releasing them,
There's still maybe a little bit of tension there and feeling down to our chest and our heart space.
Feel into the energy,
That love that resides here.
Thank you heart for healing me,
For guiding me.
Thank you for loving.
And now,
Working down our arms.
Thank you arms for carrying,
For climbing,
For balancing.
For everything you do to support me.
Thank you,
I love you.
And now,
Reaching our hands,
Feel the tingling energy in your fingers.
Meditate on the expression,
The freedom,
The dexterity they offer us to create and build to connect with others.
I love you hands.
Thank you hands.
And if it feels right for you,
I'd like to invite you to place your hands on your tummy.
And tune in to what you feel in this area.
Just be with whatever's there.
Some people may feel a lack of love for this body part,
Or not.
Perhaps some of you might experience an absence of love elsewhere.
And that's okay.
But every cell of your body does all it can,
Is doing all it can to love and support you.
Perhaps there are times in your life where you've spoken to your body in a harsh way.
You can let that go for now.
You are free to love your body.
You are free to love it unconditionally.
Thank you tummy.
I love you.
And now moving down onto your hips and pelvis,
The sensual center of the body.
Thank you for all the experiences you've brought me,
All that you have taught me.
I love and honor this part of my body.
Now moving down to the legs,
The thighs and calves.
Notice how they feel,
The points of contact.
Think of all they've done for you in your life.
All the places they've taken you.
Mountains you've climbed.
Cities you've walked through.
Seas and rivers you've swam in.
Thank you legs for supporting me on my journey through life.
And lastly,
Moving our attention down to our feet,
Maybe giving your toes the tiniest of wriggles,
Feel the tingling energy in your toes,
Your feet tell a story.
Imagine all the places you've been,
All the terrains you've traveled across.
Thank you feet.
I love you feet.
And let all this love and gratitude for this beautiful body,
This phenomenal tool you've been blessed with,
Let this gratitude fill you up and we'll just take a deep inhale and release.
And when you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
