This meditation is designed to bring you into the here and now,
To stop your imagination from creating situations that bring you worry and stress.
The future is unknown,
None of us know what is going to happen.
We can plan and take actions to bring about events and situations that we choose,
However we can never be 100% sure of any outcome.
Look at the present moment,
You may be sitting or laying down with your eyes closed and your hands in your lap,
You are taking care of yourself,
Either calming a past self or fortifying a future self.
Just taking a few moments to breathe,
To sit still,
To fill your mind with instructions that will help you feel calm,
In control and ready for whatever comes next.
As you breathe listen to my voice,
Allow any sounds from the outside world to slowly become less and less important.
Focus inwards and hear me clearly.
What we can be sure of is that with a deep breath,
With an observant attitude and a sense of calm we can make better decisions.
Whatever is happening now will pass.
Each deep breath in allows your lungs to expand,
Filling you up with fresh oxygen and each soft and smooth exhale allows your muscles to loosen and relax and your body can soften and let go.
Imagine whatever you are dealing with,
Whatever situation that brought you here,
Imagine it as a piece of paper and each breath in you take is like tearing a small piece of the paper and letting it float away in a soft breeze.
Let it slip away from being a now situation into letting it be a then situation.
Slowly the present moment becomes smaller and smaller,
Less and less charged with emotion and more and more expanded and observable as you breathe through it.
Let go of the present moment.
Remember,
Whatever is happening now,
This moment of your life will pass.
As time passes,
Either second by second,
Minute by minute or breath by breath,
The world turns and life carries on.
As long as you keep breathing calmly and steadily,
Time marches on and this moment will pass.
As more time passes,
You will receive more information to make better,
More informed decisions,
Decisions that you will feel able and ready to move on,
To move forward with.
Observe your body,
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Make circles with your ankles and wrists and take a deep breath in to fill your lungs and feel your belly rising.
Slowly let the air out and notice that you can feel the ground supporting you.
Let yourself breathe at your own comfortable pace.
Now each time you breathe in,
You feel lighter and each time you breathe out,
You feel heavier.
Breathing in,
Feeling lighter.
Breathing out,
Feeling heavier.
Play with the balance of weight with your breath until you feel suspended in this space and in this particular moment.
Feel your body flying free in space and supported by the ground.
Your breath is steady,
Your heartbeat is strong and firm.
Breathe deeply,
Let go.
You are now ready to go on with your day,
Your evening,
Your life.
Now take a deep breath in and get ready to enjoy all that is available to you.
Enjoy everything you can.
