But somewhere that you can be undisturbed just for a few minutes.

As the mind moves from past to future,
To current wants and necessities,
You can get all tied up in knots.
So this meditation with the mantra of Aum Shanti gives us this little pocket of time to be with ourselves and to soothe and ease that busy mind.
So now you've found your comfortable spot,
Begin to feel all those points of contact where your body meets the support beneath you.
And feel how gravity is holding you as if you're held by the earth.

Round,
Beautiful earth.
And as you feel all of these points of contact,
You may feel like your body wants to rise up to meet the day with a sense of dignity and grace.
As if saying,
Hello world,
I'm here and now.
And you may feel parts of your body soften,
Your face,
Your jaw,
Possibly a warmth behind your eyes.
And this softening and relaxation may be beginning to spread throughout your body now,
Allowing all the past angers,
Frustrations to roll off one side of your body and any worries or concerns for the future rolling off the other.
Taking a deep breath and letting go.
You can begin to repeat in your mind's eye,

As if like snow falling on a winter's day.
Every snowflake beginning to settle,

You begin to radiate this out to the people you love,

You keep connected to Mother Earth.

Nowhere else to be,

And maybe checking in with your thoughts again.
Noticing if you have moved into remembering,
Planning,
Fixing,
Organizing.
And if you have,
Simply label the overall feel of where your mind has gone and come back to Aum Shanti.
As finally this Aum Shanti begins to build momentum,
Widening its reach,
Its ever increasing arms,
Reaching out,
Your peace meeting the world and the universe.
And as you Aum Shanti the whole world,
You notice this web of interconnectedness,
Your intimacy with the planet and all life.
As you share the peace,

And as you begin to come to the end of this meditation,
You bring the Aum Shanti back in focus,
In line with your own precious heart.
Knowing that you are the best example of what it is to love you,
