Ali Mills is a meditation teacher, carer, and creative, offering gentle, heart-led practices rooted in real life. As the full-time carer for her mother living with dementia, Ali understands first-hand how demanding, tender, and emotionally complex the caring role can be — and how vital self-care becomes when life is shaped by ongoing change and uncertainty. Meditation is the cornerstone of Ali’s own wellbeing. Having lived with anxiety for many years, she came to meditation over three decades ago as a way to steady herself, soften the nervous system, and create space to breathe when things feel overwhelming. This personal journey continues to inform her teaching, especially for those navigating grief, transition, and the quieter heartbreaks that are often hard to name. Trained with the British School of Meditation, Ali is passionate about making meditation accessible, practical, and compassionate — particularly for beginners, carers, and anyone who feels stretched by life. She teaches from her home in North Bristol and shares guided practices on Insight Timer that invite you to slow down, acknowledge what is present, and gently let go of what no longer needs to be carried. Alongside meditation, Ali expresses her spirituality through 5Rhythms dance and intuitive spiritual art, supporting others to reconnect with themselves and find moments of softness, acceptance, and grace — one breath at a time.
