Healing Self-Doubt – A Reiki Guided Practice

Hi,

And thank you so much for joining me for our session today,

Healing self-doubt.

I'm Shannon and grateful to have you here.

First,

I'm going to start with this quote by John O'Donohue.

Your identity is not equivalent to your biography.

There is a place in you where you have never been wounded,

Where there's a seamlessness in you,

And where there is a confidence and tranquility in you.

The intention of prayer and spirituality and love is now and again to visit that inner kind sanctuary.

So let's take a look at where these places of self-doubt come from.

Self-doubt are those places inside of us where we lack confidence for different reasons.

It is an inside job that requires us to explore those places inside of ourselves that wish to be heard.

Sometimes self-doubt comes from believing that we have to know everything in order to accomplish something.

Sometimes it comes from the belief that I have to solve everything all by myself.

Sometimes self-doubt comes from those places where we began our childhood,

Maybe the messages that we received,

The reflection that somehow we weren't good enough just the way we are.

No matter where your self-doubt comes from,

You can always begin right here,

Right where you're at,

In exploring and uncovering those places,

Healing the insides,

And beginning to grow that confidence within yourself.

I'll have you imagine that there's a place within you that is a deep well and in that well is held all the beliefs and thoughts of yourself and also placed within that well are nice things that people say to us,

Compliments that they offer,

Goodwill.

However,

If there's a crack or break in our own inner well where those places can be stored,

The well will never stay full if we ourselves don't heal.

It becomes an inside job to fix that place within ourselves where when repaired,

Any thoughts we begin to tell ourself that heal our self-doubt can stay stored in there and that way give back to us.

Today,

We'll begin that inside job of repairing that place within us,

That deep well of knowing that we're good enough just as we are.

So as we explore that place through guided practice and through Reiki,

We'll begin doing that inner work that requires us to work on ourselves in order to restore those places.

So let's explore that deep inner spiritual well and begin the practice of healing.

Before we begin our guided Reiki practice today,

In order to most receive benefit from the energy that I'll be sending through this recording,

I'll just have you begin by saying yes if you'd like to receive the Reiki energy that will come through today.

Now let's begin our inner journey healing that well within us,

That spiritual place that allows us to once again have confidence in ourselves.

The World Has Need of You A poem by Ellen Bass I can hardly imagine it as I walk to the lighthouse,

Feeling the ancient prayer of my arms swinging in counterpoint to my feet.

Here I am suspended between the sidewalk and the twilight,

The sky dimming so fast it seems alive.

What if you felt the invisible tug between you and everything?

A boy on a bicycle rides by his white shirt open,

Flaring behind him like wings.

It's a hard time to be human.

We know too much and too little.

Does the breeze need us?

The cliffs?

The gulls?

If you've managed to do one good thing,

The ocean doesn't care.

But when Newton's apple fell toward the earth,

The earth ever so slightly fell toward the apple as well.

I'll have you move into a comfortable position in which to do this guided practice,

Where we will use imagery and reiki to begin to heal those places of self-doubt,

Beginning to come to a centered space,

Allowing those things around you to temporarily be held so that you might center on yourself and this space,

Beginning to connect with the energy of the earth beneath you,

Of her gentle arms holding you,

And allowing any energy that surrounds you that you do not wish to carry at this time to move out of your feet and into the earth to be held.

From this place of grounded connection,

We now call in our angels,

Fairies,

Ancestors,

The divine to be with us and surround us during this journey that we might find peace and healing and confidence.

Now I ask that Archangel Michael and your higher self be present with us during this journey into the deep well that is our self.

From this place of connection with your body,

With Archangel Michael,

With your higher self,

I'll have you close your eyes and focus your breath within.

Now in your imagination,

I'll have you begin with the help of Archangel Michael and your higher self,

Just with your mind to gently scan your physical and spiritual body to see if there are any places within you where you hold doubt.

When you experience moments of doubt,

Where in your body do you feel that sensation?

Allow yourself and Archangel Michael and your higher self to just scan your body and find where this place in you resides,

Where you feel these feelings of doubt when they come up.

Allow yourself to scan your body now.

Now,

Once you've found this space within you where you carry feelings of doubt when they come up,

I'll have you imagine that you are standing in that place within yourself.

And as you now find yourself standing in this space within yourself,

You see that there is a large open field of grass.

Overhead you see it is daylight and the sun shines down on you and this open field.

And as you walk this field within yourself,

You find that there is a well in the ground,

This well made of stone that carries that light within you that stores confidence,

Love,

And beauty.

You look down into it and see that it is only half full.

Look down below deep into this well,

There is this living water of life.

You now call in Archangel Michael and your higher self to stand with you next to this space inside of you,

Next to this well.

And as they stand with you now looking within,

They bring you the encouragement to explore the well within you to see if there are any cracks that need repairing.

This is the well within you,

That spiritual place that holds all those feelings of confidence and love,

Acceptance for who you are.

To explore this well more deeply,

We need to go inside of it and look to see what needs repairing.

Archangel Michael shows you that above the well there is a seat where you can sit upon this seat and your higher self will be able to lower you down into the well safely to explore more deeply this place within you.

Archangel Michael helps you sit onto this seat and now your higher self begins to shine his or her light down into the well,

Allowing all the spaces within you to glow gently with this beautiful white yellow light,

Allowing you to see this place inside of yourself.

Your higher self now begins to lower you down into the well slowly.

As the light moves around the edges of the well within this space made of stone,

You begin to explore where there's any cracks,

Breaks,

Any areas within yourself that need repairing.

In this moment,

So that you do not have to do this by yourself,

Archangel Michael now joins you on the seat next to you.

Archangel's beautiful energy begins to surround you and his healing blue light begins to move into the well.

Now you and Archangel Michael begin to scan the walls of the well to see areas that need repairing and as you do,

You reach out with your hands and touch these places in the stone,

These places inside of you where there might be places of hurt or wounds that need healing.

As you hold your hands here to any of these cracked or wounded places,

The energy of Reiki begins to move through you and Archangel Michael,

Sending light into these spaces that need healing and love.

Hmm.

You you you you you you you you you you I'll have you take a deep breath in and exhale exhale I'll have you imagine moving down to the deepest part of the well just above the top of the water This living water within you I'll have both you and Archangel Michael reach both of your hands over the top of the water and begin to receive and send this loving energy of Reiki down into this place within you and As this energy flows through you and Archangel Michael and into the waters of the well It begins to fill you with more light and the level of the water begins to rise Filling this healed space within you Your higher self as the water rises within you begins to bring both you and Archangel Michael back up through the well back to the top Allow yourself to receive this energy now This energy now you you you I'll have you take a deep breath in and exhale As you rise up Inside this well towards the top once more and look down into this water you see that it is both clear and shining brightly and Holding all the colors of energy that are moving through you Your higher self and Archangel Michael this beautiful light shimmering and shining through the water Helping you feel more confident more courageous feeling that strength within yourself Allowing this place within you to continue to be restored Until both you and Archangel Michael are back at the top of the well You take a deep breath in And exhale Now once more at the top of the well your higher self helps you out Archangel Michael now standing beside you outside the wall of the well Your higher self standing next to you as well Now as you look back down into the well from which we began you see that the spaces Within the well have begun to heal That the wounds or cracks are now filled with light And that the well is now filled with light And that the well is now filled with light And that the water level within the well has risen back to the top Now we will place loving messages into this well within you for you to hold and carry with you When you are ready I'll have you begin by leaning over Opening your hands and placing the palms of your hands on top of the water within the well What message of confidence and love would you like to send deep within this well through your hands?

Speak those words now that you want to send into yourself to be carried Allow yourself to say those words now Say those words now The words and the energy of the message that you send move through your hands Through the water in the well all the way down to the bottom Carrying the light and love with them So So Now take a deep breath in And exhale And now Archangel Michael would like to send a message down into the space within you A message of love,

And healing In your imagination you see Archangel Michael lean over the top of the well Reach out his hands placing them on the water What message do you hear Archangel Michael place into this well of water within you now?

Feel his message move through you So So So Now take a deep breath in and exhale And now your higher self would like to send a message of love and support Down into this well within you to be carried to help you continue to heal Grow and become that confident beautiful person that you are Imagine your higher self now leaning over the well opening his or her hands placing them down into the water What message does your higher self send down into the well to be held by you?

Allow yourself to connect with this message now So So Now take a deep breath in And exhale The three of you together yourself Archangel Michael and your higher self Looking at the beautiful well within you now full beginning to be repaired and full of light Holding these new messages of hope growth confidence strength You will continue to receive this healing energy of Reiki even after this practice closes For as long as you need it to and in your imagination closing your eyes and connecting with your breath And as you inhale and exhale coming back to this present moment to your physical body To your physical body to that space that you were sitting in now As you connect with your physical body once more you feel the energy of that space within you Those beautiful messages of light moving through your whole body And taking another deep breath in And as you exhale when you're ready opening your eyes coming back to this present moment with me Thank you so much for joining me for this practice today and know that this journey of connecting with that place within you is a lifelong journey of discovery of hope of courage My wish for you is to have a beautiful day Namaste
