Hello and welcome to the session.
I invite you to take a seat or lay down and get comfortable and close down the eyes if you wish and take three slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth and I invite you to just take a moment to relax your body drop any tensions you have in your chest relax your shoulders unclench your jaw your belly your legs just scan your body for any places of energy,
Of blockages,
Of tension and just invite those spaces to speak,
To release,
To feel like they've been heard and felt because a lot of the time we hold tension physically and if we were to stop running from it and open ourself up to feeling it,
It would release and let go and relax so scan your body for any points of tension just say to that space I hear you I accept you I welcome you and I invite you to let go,
To relax,
To settle because you're safe take another deep slow breath in through the nose and out through the mouth draw your attention to your mind and begin to open yourself up to this session's question inviting in the guidance,
The wisdom,
The intuitions the openness and drawing from our past,
Our present my ancestors,
God,
The universe,
The muse,
Divine energy,
Whatever it is,
Whatever force internal or external,
That we source our strength from opening ourselves up to that source,
To that energy,
To the wisdom of the question opening up to the question approaching it with possibility and purpose and potential with a pliant and flexible mind one that welcomes the chance to discover our divine purpose in a moment I'm going to ask you the question twice and then we're going to sit in contemplation of that question and just welcome,
Just welcome it to permeate through our minds unveiling the possibilities and potentials is what you're putting in front of your creativity worth the price?
Creativity is an interesting concept because of all the things humans are capable of it's our capacity for creativity that sets us apart it's the drawing together of novel ideas of seeing where we are and wondering if there is different alternatives of potential,
Of possibility it involves tapping into a place of higher connection of drawing together disparate threads of knowledge,
Of possibility,
Of purpose of things that wouldn't normally go together to create something new and this newness can result in paradigm shifts of technologies,
Of different thoughts that can then spin us in a direction that we don't even know we're headed in of technologies,
Of different thoughts that can then spark new forms of creativity in you or in other people and by this way humanity has made exponential leaps and bounds over every other species because we can draw such connections because of our creativity so the potential upside of creativity is limitless but it seems like a lot of people put creativity into a box because creativity is for certain artists,
For poets,
For writers,
For painters,
For dancers,
For martial artists,
For people that aren't us and even if you do practice one of those fields it's like a side hobby,
It's something you just sort of just dabble in but I'm wondering if we could look at all of life as an opportunity for creativity because there's creativity in most jobs a business owner has to be creative in the products and services they offer and the way they're delivered and there's artistry to be found in most every aspect of existence if we allow ourselves to investigate and to go into that space but that's a bit of an aside from what am I putting in front of my creativity and is it worth the price because it's easy to get caught up in life the roles,
Responsibilities,
Works,
Jobs,
All of these things we have to do but in the same way we considered turning mundane into meditation could we turn life into creativity,
Could we approach things more creatively because if life becomes art,
Then creativity flows and we'll be finding ourselves tapping into a greater,
Diviner purpose and that screams to me,
It's a better way to live I know that if I put things in front of my creativity,
My joy plummets,
I feel a lack of purpose because creativity is in a way addictive,
It feels right,
It feels like something that I should be doing it's like tapping into my true core,
My true essence,
The true reason for being is to create a lot of well-off and fortunate people,
People who don't have to worry about the bills a lot of these people turn to art it's like humans are artists until the rent is due so whilst I see the balance that needs to be taken between functioning and surviving you know paycheck to paycheck,
I also wonder if we're putting other things in front of our creativity to fill the void that creativity itself could fill,
Leaving us far more fulfilled for example social media,
Podcasts,
Videos,
Movies,
Distractions,
Food,
Excessive food that is how many things are we putting in front of our creativity beyond the things that we need to do to survive and is it worth it this makes me wonder of how to even know if we're improving at life I like to look at it as a trend,
Am I trending upwards,
Am I more productive,
More social,
Happier,
Healthier,
More connected am I generally feeling better about life if yes keep going,
If no make some changes and I'm wondering if I still am putting too many things before my creativity because when I just consider and step back and look at my life there certainly are things that I don't need to be doing that I instead could be creative with and that would be producing,
Contributing and exploring deep connections that I'm not currently doing so so I wonder is what you're putting in front of your creativity worth the price is what you're putting in front of your creativity worth the price well done,
So this brings us to the end of the session at the bottom of your screen you'll see an option to view the classroom or to ask a question and before moving on I invite you to take a moment to click through and share your insights,
To read answers from other students and to hear my replies remember to start your responses with session 7 or to restate the question so we know which one you're referring to,
