Good day.

The literal translation of Yoga Nidra is yogic sleep and has been practiced for thousands of years.

The power of Yoga Nidra goes far beyond the sleep of ordinary slumber as this esoteric relaxation technique carries with it the potential for deep healing and rejuvenation on the mental,

Physical and emotional planes.

Doctors and scientists are now finding out that one hour of guided Yoga Nidra experience is equivalent of four hours of what we know as traditional sleep.

The following is a relaxation experience guided by Yvette Sichrist,

Who is skilled in the unique amrit mythology which can take you to the deepest levels of silence,

Tranquility and peace.

Before you begin,

Make sure you are in a room that is dimly lit and that you are aware of your environment.

Have a blanket and a pillow available for your physical comfort and if there is any outside disturbances,

Allow them to draw you deeper into your Yoga Nidra experience.

Now lie comfortably,

Relax and allow yourself to be immersed in the transformative realm of Yoga Nidra.

Good afternoon and welcome to Yoga Nidra.

And before we begin this afternoon's session,

Just take some time to focus on your breath and relaxing your body into the floor,

Relaxing away your day and any attachment to the outcome of your day.

As you settle in,

Feeling your bodies melt and merge into the floor and just again focusing on your breath.

With each inhalation,

Focus on drawing in healing breath and with each exhalation,

Letting go of all tension and all worries.

And as with all practice of Yoga Nidra with your bodies,

Making sure that your feet are at least hip width apart,

Your arms extended away from your bodies at a nice angle and your palms facing up if that's comfortable for you.

Noticing the lengthening of your inhalations and your exhalations and throughout this afternoon's practices to deepen your meditative state,

Allow all outside disturbances and distractions to draw you only deeper into your meditative state.

Use them as a tool to sink deeper and deeper into your own individual silent awareness.

So with that,

If you're not already there,

Close your eyes and quiet your mind.

Be still in that stillness.

Completely let go of all thoughts,

All worries and all tension.

Give yourself over to your higher power.

And as you do so,

Relax,

Trust,

Surrender.

And now taking a deep breath in,

Exhale with a sigh.

And again,

Taking a deep breath in,

Exhale with a sigh and let go even more.

As you let go,

Feel a deep sense of contentment and peace in your heart,

Allowing my words to be your words.

Lead me from the unreal to the real,

Lead me from darkness to light.

Lead me from the time bound state of consciousness to the timeless state of being and make a commitment to yourself that during this time you will participate wholeheartedly in this process and trust that whatever issues are in the way of your fullest realization,

That they will be released spontaneously and effortlessly.

Let go of any struggle or effort to make anything happen.

We will now move our awareness into the body to release trapped energy and tension and to move even deeper into total relaxation,

Bringing your attention to your arms.

Take a deep breath in and as you hold your breath,

Tighten your hands into a fist.

Tighten and tense all the muscles of your arms,

Shoulders,

Fists and hold,

Hold and go deeper into experiencing the tension.

Now let go completely and relax even more.

Observe and feel the flood of energy in your arms.

Bringing your attention to your hips and legs,

Take a deep breath in and as you hold your breath,

Tighten and tense all the muscles of your hips,

Thighs,

Legs,

Feet,

Buttocks.

Hold,

Hold and go deeper into the tension.

Now relax and let go.

Observe and feel the flood of energy in your legs.

And now moving your awareness to your entire body,

Take a deep breath in and as you hold your breath,

Deliberately tense the muscles of your entire body,

Your arms,

Your torso,

Your legs,

Every muscle of your body,

Tighten and tense and hold.

Now let go completely and relax even more.

Observe and feel the flood of energy extending to all the muscles,

Nerves and cells of your entire body.

Let your whole body melt into stillness.

Taking a moment to scan the body to see if you have any other trapped energy that needs to be released.

Once you find it,

Let it go.

And as you let go of it,

Be aware of the released energy in your body and allow it to merge into an ocean of energy.

Allow this ocean of energy to flow into any holdings.

Be they physical,

Mental,

Emotional,

Spiritual.

Allow this to bring you into the deepest state of balance and relaxation.

Reining your inner awareness,

Bring your palms to your face,

Resting your fingertips on your eyelids and feel that heat and energy completely melt any expression from your face.

Keeping your palms in contact with your face,

Gently begin to massage your eyelids.

Moving up to your eyebrows,

Forehead and then down to your temples.

And then moving at your own pace,

Gently massage any tension from your face.

When that feels complete to you,

Return your palms to your face and your fingertips to your eyelids.

And now taking a deep breath in,

Relax with a deep sigh.

Taking another deep breath in,

Let go with a sigh and relax even more.

And when that feels complete to you,

Return your arms to your sides,

Tucking them back into your blankets and making any last minute adjustments to your body for comfort.

Remember that in yoga nidra,

Do not fall asleep throughout this entire period.

Remain relaxed and motionless,

Alert and conscious.

Stay in touch with my guidance at all times.

Allow any outside distractions and disturbances to draw you only deeper into this meditative state.

Know that in yoga nidra,

You enter the subconscious pranic field.

Let your mind melt and merge into your energy body and go beyond the boundaries of body and mind,

Now shift from thinking and doing to feeling and being.

Again shift from thinking and doing to feeling and being.

Do absolutely nothing from now on.

Finally relax,

Feel yourself drop into the deepest state of tranquility,

Stillness and peace in your third eye.

Now bringing your awareness back to your breath,

We will begin the shidale breath.

As you breathe in through your nose,

Feel your lungs completely and as you exhale,

Do so through softly pursed lips as if you're blowing through a straw.

Let each exhalation be prolonged,

A steady stream of breath as you empty your lungs completely.

Allow each inhalation to fill your heart with joy and love.

With each exhalation,

Completely empty your mind of all anticipations and continue to empty your body of all tension.

With each inhalation,

Drop into a deeper level of silent awareness and experience the balancing and relaxing impact of your parasympathetic nervous system.

Again breathing in through your nose fully and completely and breathing out through softly pursed lips.

Feel your body cooling itself with each breath.

Continue this breath with constant awareness and detached attention.

Now return to your normal breath and turn your attention inward.

Experience the powerful impact of the vibratory energetic pulsations in the form of sensations in your body.

Allow your detached awareness to embrace all the experiences unconditionally and let your mind melt and merge into it.

Now bring your total undivided attention to your third eye.

Feel yourself drop into the deepest level of silent stillness.

Now moving into body awareness.

Let your attention rest on each body part as I name it and do so without comment or judgment.

All ten toes,

Both ankles,

Both knees,

Pelvis,

Chest,

Shoulders,

Throat,

And the heart.

Out,

Chin,

Face,

Head,

Back of the head,

Shoulder blades,

Back,

Buttocks,

And the back of the head.

The hips,

Calves,

Heels,

And your whole body.

Feel your whole body contained in your vast spacious awareness.

And now as I name the body part,

Bring your total attention accompanied by a feeling of heaviness sinking like a stone in water.

Both feet heavy like stones.

Calves,

Knees,

Heavy,

Sinking deeper.

Thighs,

Hips,

Very heavy like lead.

Abdomen,

Chest,

Back,

Gravity pulling you down deeper.

Fingers,

Arms,

Palms,

Very,

Very heavy.

Feel your entire head heavy like a stone.

Have your body completely and totally to the omnipresent field of gravity.

Experience your entire body heavy like a rock.

Feel your whole body sinking deeper and deeper.

Completely let go into the pool of gravity as you sink deeper,

Heavy like a stone.

Feel yourself sinking deeper into stillness and silent awareness.

Now shift your awareness and as I name the part of the body,

Let all the heaviness drain away.

Let your body be buoyant and light like a fluffy cloud.

Both feet limp,

Light.

Calves,

Knees,

Empty,

Free,

Thighs,

Hips,

Hollow,

Weightless.

Abdomen,

Chest,

Back,

Light,

Empty.

Shoulders,

Arms,

Palms,

Floating,

Head,

Hollow,

Empty.

Feel your whole body empty,

Light,

Hollow.

Sense the emptiness of your body and the silence of your mind.

In this silent awareness,

Experience being free of all inhibitions and boundaries of your body and mind,

Past,

Present,

Future.

In this silent awareness,

Witness your body completely at peace,

Resting in stillness.

In this silent awareness,

Experience your entire body and being free from fear of pain,

Hurt,

And suffering.

It is in this silent awareness that your body is purified for it to be the ideal temple for your spirit to manifest.

Your body is the temple and its altar is your heart.

In this silent awareness and in the sanctuary of silence,

Remain deeply established to that connection with spirit in deep faith and trust.

We are now going to move through your chakras,

The wheels of life,

And as we move,

We will be creating healing,

Opening,

And upward flow.

Beginning at your root,

Your first chakra,

The maladhara.

Place your attention at the maladhara chakra located at the base of your spine.

Feel this area begin to glow and pulse with red light.

Feel the earthly dense quality of the chakra and allow this to be a grounding foundation for awakening into your higher centers of consciousness.

See the downward and outward flow of energy being reversed and converted to upward flow.

Begin by drawing up the energy from your feet into your legs,

Moving into the perineum,

And continuing up to the central energy canal,

Your sushumna.

Feel your first chakra open and relax with the vibratory impact of the sound of lam.

Lam Le himself Laaam.

Moving next into your second chakra,

The swadhisthana,

Located in your pelvis,

The area of your reproductive organs and your sacral nerve plexus.

Feel this area begin to pulse and glow with orange light.

Allow this energy to nourish your reproductive functions and sensuality.

This is also the basis for your spirituality.

Feel this regenerative energy being channeled upward.

As the luminous power of divine shakti is freed,

Visualize your body filled with divine light and love and feel the vibratory impact of the sound of vam.

Vam.

Vam.

Vam.

As our journey continues upward,

Move your focus to your third chakra,

The manapura,

Located at the navel and associated with your solar plexus of nerves that nurtures all the abdominal organs of the area.

Feel this area begin to pulse and glow with yellow light.

Allow the primal forces of aggression and compulsion to dissolve in the light of your awareness and sense it being converted to clarity,

Confidence and strength.

From this moment on,

Face all challenges with equanimity and dignity and feel the vibratory impact of the sound of ram.

Ram.

Ram.

Ram.

Ram.

Ram.

You are now free of all limitations.

Your inner core feels vital and strong and connected to your source.

You lack absolutely nothing as you step into the next integrated state of being.

As our journey continues upward,

Moving your attention to your fourth chakra,

The anahata,

Your heart center.

Feel the area in the middle of your chest begin to pulse and glow with beautiful emerald green light.

Experience the regenerative,

Restorative healing power activating your health and the functioning of your heart,

Lungs and thymus gland.

Witness your heart center transmuting the energies of your lower chakras and experience a deep sense of self love and self compassion and self acceptance.

Allow this to change your perception of the world and be the catalyst of the acceptance of what is as is.

Feel yourself becoming a beacon of love and light,

Attracting the energies of the lower centers,

Your lower chakras and transforming them in your heart as you feel the vibratory impact of the sound of yam.

Yaaaam.

Now,

Moving to the fifth chakra,

The vasudha,

Bringing your attention to your throat,

The cervical nerve plexus and feel your throat and thyroid gland glowing and pulsing with blue light.

See yourself entering into the expansiveness of the throat chakra.

It is from here you reclaim your voice of wisdom.

You are free from all inhibitions and limitations and fully awaken to your creative expression as you feel the vibratory impact of the sound of hum.

Yaaaam.

Now,

Bring your attention to the sixth chakra,

The yajna chakra,

Your third eye.

Feel the area between your eyebrows and about three inches in towards the center of your brain begin to glow and pulse with indigo light.

Feel the pituitary and pineal glands being reactivated and rejuvenated deep inside your brain.

Receive the time-transcendent nectar of amrit dripping from your pineal gland as it penetrates and spreads through every cell of your being.

Rest in awareness and feel the vibratory impact of the sound of hum.

Yaaaam.

Yaaaam.

Yaaaam.

Before we move up to the crown chakra,

Take a moment to see if any chakra or corresponding area of your body needs additional healing and bring your attention to that area right now and see it bathed in healing light.

Now moving your attention up to the crown chakra,

Your seventh of the physical chakras.

See a thousand petal lotus at the crown of your head.

Feel all the chakras in your physical body,

The wheels of life,

As they are spontaneously and effortlessly aligned.

See and feel the energy moving unimpeded upwards towards the crown chakra and see your whole body surrounded and permeated by light and love.

All boundaries and illusion of separateness are disappearing.

Love and disappear into oneness as you feel the vibratory impact of the sound of ah.

Ah.

Ah.

Ah.

Our journey began in the root chakra as the energy moved up to the seventh chakra,

The crown,

The last of our physical chakras.

From here we move into our energy body and our eighth chakra,

The seat of the soul.

It is here that our karmic residue resides.

It is here that the reason why we are here and its message resides.

It is here that we melt and merge into oneness and into vine consciousness as your attention rests in the eighth chakra,

The seat of your soul.

Feel the vibratory impact of the sound of silence.

Now moving from your energy body back into your physical body,

Allow your attention to shift and focus your inward gaze on your third eye and remain focused and steady in the asha chakra.

It is here that you enter the sacred space of Shiva consciousness where unmanifest potentiality has become manifest actuality.

Firmly establish yourself in the unmanifest part of your being and allow the duality of your mind to merge into the oneness of your spirit.

Settle into the silent source of your being and surrender to the experience so completely that you become the experience.

With your attention on your third eye,

It is your command center.

Feel the energy of ita and pingala,

Shiva and Shakti as they merge into unified state of oneness.

Bring your attention to your pineal gland and activate the elixir of immortality,

Amrita,

And feel it as it floods your entire nervous system,

Bathing every cell in the luminous healing light of divine presence.

Continue to go deeper into your third eye,

This mysterious command center,

And allow it to carry out your intentions,

Prayers,

And affirmations.

Allow this area to hold your intentions firmly and clearly with deep feeling and faith and allowing my words to be your words,

I accept myself as I am and the world as it is.

Establish this message at the altar of your heart.

Love yourself just as you are.

Accept everyone just as they are.

Know that your intentions are received by the Sadhguru that guides you from darkness to light and know that you are established in that part of your being where your intentions are actualized and fulfilled with effortless ease.

In your third eye,

You are empowered to create what you pray for,

Visualize and affirm.

It is here that your prayers and intentions are carried out at the deepest core of your being.

I accept myself as I am and the world as it is.

Feel these words being assimilated and adopted by all levels of your body and being.

You are completely integrated,

Totally digested and fully actualized.

In silent witness,

I am at peace in the midst of chaos.

In silent witness,

I am stillness in action.

In silent witness,

I remain changeless in the midst of change.

At this sacred moment,

Your whole being has made a major paradigm shift.

Establish yourself in total trust and faith that remains free from any need to be in control.

Feel totally unburdened and free to move in life with effortless ease.

I accept myself as I am and the world as it is.

Do not hesitate,

Doubt or dispute those words and allow them to come naturally.

Returning to your third eye,

The seat of the Sadguru within,

It is here that the energies from all of your meridians come into deep unification,

Integration,

Harmony,

Balance.

Establish a whole new relationship with reality regardless of how it begins to show up in your life.

Knowing that you are your soul completely manifested,

You can easily witness life's experiences and allow them to pass you by.

Know that right response and right actions will come through you and with that clarity,

Keep your heart open to all conditions.

Establish your connection.

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.

Bring your forefinger and thumb together and establish the connection to the Guru within.

This will reconnect you with the power and protection and guidance whenever you need it in everyday life.

Now gradually you can begin to move as if waking from a restful sleep.

Begin simply by wiggling your fingers and toes,

Being completely gentle on your body.

When you're ready,

Bring your knees and pull them close to your chest and walk sideways gently.

Take your time.

There's no need to hurry.

There's nothing to do.

There's nowhere to go.

You only need to be.

When that feels complete to you,

Turn onto your right side,

Leaving your heart completely open and curl into a fetal position.

Feel the safety,

Comfort and protection of the womb of existence.

I accept myself as I am and the world as it is.

Change nothing.

Every time you find yourself in reaction,

You are empowered to replace it with those words.

I accept myself as I am and the world as it is.

As you bring yourself back into the awareness of your body,

Feel a deep sense of peace and contentment.

Notice how relaxed your body is,

How soft your breath is,

How silent your mind is,

How quiet your heartbeat is.

Rest in stillness and rest in gratitude for all that you have seen about yourself in this sanctuary of silence and the stillness of your mind.

Know that you can easily enter this space anytime,

Anywhere and as often as you like.

And know that the more often you go there,

The longer you can stay.

It is in this state that Turiya is experienced.

Regardless of what you consciously recognize that has or has not changed,

Know that something deep within you has shifted to connect you with source.

You are welcome to stay as you are or begin to gradually sit up.

Please keep your eyes closed so you may stay in this deep inner awareness.
