
Processing Grief And Loss Energy

Grief is the process of how we respond and cope to loss. As a process you may feel different feelings over time. There is no right or wrong way to process or experience grief, but one thing is for sure - the negative energy can become trapped in our body tissues and cause illness if not processed. In this guided meditation, breathwork, energy work and visualization are used to help you start to release that energy.

Welcome to your next session.
This session is on processing grief and loss.
Begin by finding a comfortable position lying down.
If you have a weighted eye pillow,
This would be a good session to use it.
Otherwise,
Just allow yourself to settle comfortably.
Gently close your eyes.
Let your whole body soften and relax.
Deep breathe in and out.
Deep inhale for the count of 3 and slow exhale to the count of 5.

Gently tuck your chin.
Collectively,
The entire world has been experiencing grief and loss but for each individual it will be different.
Some have perceived losses and heartbreaks,
Still loss of dreams,
Of finances or actual loss,
Actual heartbreak.
Or perhaps what's happening more collectively is a triggering of previous unresolved losses from the before times that people have just carried with them.
Collectively and altogether,
Every single person on Earth is experiencing this in some way or another.
It will impact future generations.
It will be encoded in the DNA as trauma.
For yourself,
There is grief and loss in a variety of ways and different degrees.
Some are easier to see,
They're well recognized.
For example,
Death of a loved one,
Divorce or loss of a job.
Other types of losses can be just as difficult to deal with but may be less well understood or even recognized.
Those losses may include the loss of a pet,
Relocation,
Changing jobs,
Infertility,
Illness,
Financial stress,
Or any other event that changes life plans or dreams.
Deep breathe in and slow deep breathe out with an audible sigh.
Just breathe normally.
Loss can be complicated and difficult to process.
It can be experienced with both negative and positive events.
An event may seem positive overall,
Perhaps you get a promotion at work that you were hoping for,
But still may be associated with loss,
Loss of what is familiar,
Loss of the old way of living.
That's just an example but any sort of change can be associated with feelings of loss.
Perhaps you are listening to this and dealing with a change that is reasonably positive and your grief is relatively simple to deal with.
Does it make it any less real or difficult to process?
We cannot compare grief and loss.
Or maybe you are coping with a significant negative loss and are going through a really challenging grief process time.
Maybe you have experienced a huge loss that has profoundly changed your life and you are having difficulty dealing with grief.
Before thinking about your loss and beginning the process of dealing with grief,
Let's start by relaxing our central nervous system a little.
Just lie quietly.
You do not need to do anything in particular.
Just listen to my voice.
Using your mind,
Take a moment to scan your body energy.
From the top of your head,
Your crown,
Through your face,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your torso,
Your hips and pelvis,
Down your legs,
Down to your feet,
All the way to the tips of your toes.
How is your body feeling?
What are you experiencing?
Notice if you are holding on to any tension or tightness in your muscles or your bones.
Maybe in your tissues or your heart.
Maybe even deeply down to your heart space.
As best you can,
Imagine yourself starting to soften in those places and to be easy in your body.
It is a part of life that there are times in our lives we find ourselves suffering after a painful experience.
Whether that is a loss,
A heartbreak,
A betrayal or a disappointment.
Grief and loss actually manifest as a dense,
Heavy energy.
I hope that this session will help you to surrender and begin to release those painful things you have been holding on to.
The wishing things were different.
With gentle awareness,
With strength and courage,
You can learn to accept yourself and your life exactly as it is in the present moment.
No matter what you are feeling at the present moment,
Your life is still a gift.
You are simply here at this moment to surrender and to let be.
Breathe deeply in,
Breathe deeply out.
Soften and relax into what it is supporting you.
Let it take all of your body weight and all of the weight of your emotions and negative energy.
Notice and sense how it feels in your body to be holding on to this sense of pain or hurt or fear.
Notice if there is a knot you can feel in your stomach.
Perhaps a constriction in your throat.
Maybe there is tightness in your shoulders or an ache in your heart space.
Now for a moment,
Try and become an observer to all of this.
Can you notice the heaviness and tiredness of your overall energy and vibration with these sensations?
Can you see how the act of holding on has been draining you of your lightness and your joy each day?
Holding on to these feelings of grief and loss and that negative energy.
See if you can allow your awareness to drop in just a little bit deeper now.
Deeper into the place you've been hiding from.
It resides as a negative dense energy.
Breathe deeply in,
Breathe deeply out with an audible sigh.
Now we are all here together to support each other.
Don't be afraid to lean into the sensation of these emotions and this vibrational energy.
Without needing to look for the wound or the reasons why,
Just allow yourself to be with whatever it is you are feeling.
You just want to actually just go literally with the flow of what you are feeling to process that energy.
You no longer have to hide from it,
Just allow yourself to fully become immersed in that sensation and feeling of the emotions.
Breathe deeply in,
Breathe deeply out with an audible sigh.
You don't need to struggle with this negative energy.
You do not need to resist letting it go.
You can actually just let the feelings go.
You can actually just release this energy into the air all around you.
It is just stuck energy.
This may be a difficult concept when you are struggling with how to process these feelings.
Again,
Become the observer and consider,
Aside from the cause,
Your feelings of loss,
Grief and hurt are just stuck energy.
Rather than holding on,
Trying to control or avoid them,
All you have to do is let yourself feel them.
Just be in the feeling,
Acknowledge the pain,
Then let it go.
It really isn't that simple.
You just didn't know how to do it.
Breathe deeply in,
Breathe deeply out with an audible sigh.
You are from this place of gentle awareness,
A place of kindness,
Acceptance and compassion for yourself.
Start to imagine what it might be like if you no longer held on to these negative feelings,
Emotions and negative stuck energy.
Just float here a moment in the stillness and consider the possibilities of what it would be like.
What would it be like if you were to finally discover that holding on to negative energy does not serve you?
That there is freedom and great strength in letting it go?
Now,
If you want to,
You can take a moment just to be with the feelings you have.
Just to allow the grief,
Face the emotions and accept that you are grieving.
That grief is a process that you have to swim through.
During the next minute or so,
You may choose to just relax and breathe deeply.
Or you might decide to just go with the emotions you have and fully experience the grief and immerse yourself in it for a moment.
You may choose to just relax and breathe deeply.
You may choose to just relax and breathe deeply.
Take a deep breath in and acknowledge the weight of the pain you've been holding on to.
Then,
Breathing deeply out and actively letting the negative energy go.
Repeat after me.
I release you.
I release you.

I release this negative stuck energy.
Breathe deeply in and breathe deeply out.
Repeat.
I release you.

I release all of my negative stuck energy.
Stay still,
Breathe normally and just float here for a moment.
I release you.

Now,
Allow yourself to surrender into the freedom of the present moment.
Imagine the weight of the pain you've been holding on to being lifted from your shoulders.
And the heaviness and responsibility of your earth no longer pressing down onto you.
Feel the lightness of letting that stuck energy go.
Breathe deeply in and breathe deeply out.
Consciously feel lighter.
Realize in this moment that holding on to negative energy does not serve you.
It is not for your higher good or purpose.
It actually does not help you in any way.
By surrendering into the present moment,
You allow yourself to move forward.
Realize the freedom and the lightness that is yours,
The joy and the trust that comes from letting it go.
Gently now,

Start to wiggle your toes and your fingers.
After this session,
Make sure you have a large glass of water and take it easy.
Some people find a bath with epsom salts really helps.
Get some sunlight on your body and some fresh air.
