Step softly into the present moment with me, we are often so focused on meeting goals and deadlines that it means we don't actually honour the most important moment- the now. Please join me in the now.

Finding a comfortable space.

Letting the body settle and beginning to experience a moment of softness.

Allowing the face muscles to soften,

The shoulders to rest away from the ears,

The arms to soften,

The fingertips to rest.

Allowing the chest and the abdomen to soften.

The legs down to the ankles and the feet.

And as you get a little bit more comfortable in this soft space,

Begin to start focusing on each inhale and each exhale you take.

Allowing a soft breath in and a soft breath out.

Noticing how easily the breath flows through the body without too much thought.

And softening the eyes so you're able to really tune in and not be distracted by other things around you.

Closing the eyes and becoming a little bit closer to yourself as you sit here and listen to the breath and tune into anything the body is trying to tell you.

Noticing the thoughts that are coming up,

The feelings that are present.

And as we observe our thoughts here,

Notice each time our thoughts take us back into the past.

Yesterday,

And each time we start to think about a past moment,

Try and find yourself back in the present.

Honouring all the goodness that this moment right now can give you.

And as you observe those thoughts,

Recognise each time the thoughts start to trail off into the future.

Tomorrow,

A month away,

A year from now.

And when you find yourself in this headspace,

Worrying or just thinking of the future,

Again,

Try and bring yourself back to this moment.

Honouring all that is,

Rather than all that was and all that will be.

And as you remain patient with yourself,

Keep walking yourself back to this exact moment,

So you're able to really live in this precious present moment of each day.

You're able to look around in a moment when you open your eyes and taking all the goodness around you,

No matter how small that might be.

Considering your feelings here right now,

Again,

Anything the body's trying to tell you right now in this moment,

Don't concern yourself with yesterday or tomorrow.

Keep yourself here right now.

And as you continue to walk yourself back to the present,

Your thoughts will pull you back and forth,

But continue to make your way back here.

Honouring the breath in this moment,

The body in this moment,

Honouring your feelings in this moment.

And as the breath remains soft and slow and smooth and gentle,

Follow three long,

Full breaths,

Not worrying too much about control or getting yourself to breathe in a certain way,

Just breathing very naturally.

And once you've taken these long,

Slow breaths,

Gently flickering the eyes open,

Softly observing the goodness around you,

The goodness in every day,

And the goodness in this present moment.
