Finding a comfortable place to sit.
Allowing the spine to lift,
The shoulders to relax.
Allowing your arms to feel heavy beside you.
Closing your eyes and starting to soften the face.
Starting to turn your attention inward.
Start to listen to your breath.
Inhaling softly through the nose.
And exhaling softly through the nose.
And just allowing your breath to remain soft and natural.
Without any pressure or expectation.
Let yourself sit here with the breath.
And as you continue to draw your attention inward.
Allow any stresses or tension to fade and start to invite an honest softness and stillness to the body.
Scanning through and really checking in.
Using this time to catch up with yourself.
How are you feeling?
Physically,
Mentally,
How does the breath feel?
And as you remain in this stillness.
As you continue to allow the body to soften.
And the breath to remain natural and normal.
Just begin to observe a gentle warmth throughout the body.
A gentle warmth that fills the body,
Swells around the joints.
Almost as if this warmth is energy.
And you're filling the body with new energy.
And you're feeling comforted by this.
Continue to feel the warmth.
Feel it on your face.
Feel it down the arms.
Feel it through the hips into the legs.
And as you tune into that warmth.
This stillness,
This seated position starts to become more comfortable.
Honour the light that this warmth creates.
And start to visualise this light surrounding the body.
Completely blanketing the body with warmth and light.
As you inhale this light expands,
It gets bigger.
As you softly exhale this light shines a little brighter.
And as you visualise this light,
As you feel this warmth,
Continue to settle.
Continue to sit in this comfortable little bubble of warmth,
Of light.
Maybe you start to feel more and more comfortable here.
Allowing the body to soften a little more.
Allowing the breath to soften.
Relaxing any obvious tension through the body,
Through the face muscles,
Forehead,
Eyes,
Jaw and cheeks.
Softening through the shoulders.
Allowing the arms to feel heavy.
Softening across the chest into the belly,
Through the hips and down the legs into the feet.
And with this softening of the body,
We're able to honour this stillness throughout the body.
This stillness and peace has warmed this light.
And as you sit here,
Create space for new intention.
Draw your focus inward.
And set intention for the rest of your day,
Week,
Month.
Holding this intention in your thoughts.
Breathing in.
All the positive possibilities of this intention.
And breathing out anything that may hold you back.
Let go of that.
Continue to let go of anything getting in your way with that soft,
Sweet exhale.
And continue to breathe in new,
Fresh,
Positive energy filling the lungs,
Filling the body with possibility.
And as you hold this new intention in your thoughts close to your heart,
Begin once again to focus inward on the breath,
On strength in the body set up nice and tall now.
Even if you've become relaxed through the spine,
Start to lift the back.
Keeping the eyes closed and very gently drawing your hands to your heart space.
Placing your hands in your heart space and honouring the warmth.
Honouring the warmth and the comfort that you give yourself.
Take some long,
Full breaths here.
As soon as you're happy to,
Bring the palms together at heart centre,
Bow the head,
Feel the palms and the fingertips touch.
Feel the softness through the neck and the head as you bow gently.
Mentally thanking yourself for carving out this time today,
Setting new intention and honouring the light and the warmth within.
