We will begin this meditation by focusing on your mind.
Become aware of the thoughts in your mind and just for today let them be.
Thoughts always will be coming and going,
Swirling like leaves in the breeze,
But just for today let them simply be the movements of the mind.
Just for today observe that you are not your mind.
You have a mind but you are not your mind.
Now become aware of your emotions.
What are you feeling?
We'll take a moment to observe and notice.
Like your thoughts,
Your emotions might change from moment to moment.
Allow them to move and flow.
And just for today observe that you are not your emotions.
You have emotions but you are not your emotions.
We'll take a deep cleansing breath in through our nose and open your mouth breathing all the air out.
Be aware that you have a mind and emotions but you are not your mind and emotions.
And that whatever your mind and emotions are doing you can still remain peaceful in your being.
Even if they are highly active you can continue to be peaceful.
The principles of Reiki help us and remind us that there's a lot of things that we can do just for today.
Just for today I will let go of worry.
Just for today I will live with humility and gratitude.
Just for today I will do my work honestly.
Just for today I will show love,
Empathy and compassion to myself and every living being.
Just for today I will let go of worry.
Taking a deep breath in through your nose.
Opening your mouth and sighing it out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Return to just a natural breath letting your mind and emotions flow freely,
Ever moving,
Always changing.
Let us take a deep inhale and an easy exhale.
When you're ready return to your room safe in the knowledge that you can live your life moment by moment,
Day by day.
Be with life just as it is.
