This meditation is for anybody that needs a timeout.
Taking a break from your day to spend just a few moments with your breath.
Finding a comfortable seat,
Adjusting your clothing or hair,
Allowing your body to ground into that seat whether it be a chair or the floor.
As we drop into this meditation your body will begin to relax each time you take a breath out.
Let us start with three deep cleansing breaths with your inhale filling up your belly and making each exhale through your mouth longer than the breath in.
Take two more breaths at your pace.
Returning to a natural breath,
Settle your awareness on your body as you ground down into your seat or into the chair.
Letting my words become your words.
Saying to yourself or in your mind,
I am not my body.
I have a body but I am not my body.
I have a body but I am not my body.
I have feelings but I am not my feelings.
I have feelings but I am not my feelings.
I have emotions but I am not my emotions.
I have emotions but I am not my emotions.
I have thoughts but I am not my thoughts.
I have thoughts but I am not my thoughts.
Allow your body to soften with each breath that you take out into your shoulders into your hands and allow that softness to move through your entire being.
You are grounded and you are safe.
When you feel ready,
Begin to come back into this present moment opening your eyes stretching into your body knowing that you can go back out into the world feeling grounded and safe.
