Hello and welcome everyone.
I just want to apologise for not having been able to upload new meditations over the last couple of weeks.
Unfortunately I caught Covid after trying to avoid it for so long.
But all is well now.
So thank you for tuning in.
And I guess the term tuning in should be really replaced with pressing on the app I guess.
Probably for many saying tuning in and using the example of how you would need to tune the dial on a radio to fine tune for clarity,
To listen to the radio station,
Removing that white noise,
The crackling when the red line on the radio panel is not exactly at the right,
At the precise wavelength.
But we do,
We use terminology tuning in and I guess in some ways it probably still works I guess.
Anyway,
That's just me rambling and just a thought.
So this morning,
Or today,
Wherever,
Whatever time you're listening,
I want to begin a short meditation on being grateful.
And I think for me,
Grateful that I'm well.
And I have my health,
So I have a bit of gratitude.
And I think psychologists say there are three types of gratitude.
Gratitude as an affectionative trait,
So the overall tendency to have a grateful disposition.
A mood,
Which is like daily fluctuations in feeling,
In overall gratitude I guess,
Yeah.
So a mood.
And an emotion,
A temporary feeling of gratitude for example when you feel after receiving a gift.
You feel grateful.
So practicing gratitude in more situations is the key.
Celebrating the small things and has shown that it can have a really truly life healing benefit.
So let's focus on gratitude and allow the positive habits to blossom.
As again,
You know,
Carrying a positive energy,
A positive attitude is not only beneficial to ourselves,
But also those that we are around,
We hang out with.
And I think also as human beings we tend to sort of be wired to focus on negative issues and negative things.
If something goes wrong as opposed to looking at it in a slightly different way maybe.
And trying to put a more of a learning angle to a negative situation.
So on that note,
Let's tap into our positivity and gratitude.
So just find a comfortable seat.
You can gently close your eyes.
Begin to tune in.
On your inhale.
On your exhale.
Just slow breaths in and slow exhales.
As you really settle and notice.
Your body adjust with each breath.
Inhaling through your nose.
Hold it at the top.
And slowly exhale.
And as you follow your breath,
Draw your attention to the mantra,
I am grateful for.
So whatever may come to mind.
You can inhale.
I am grateful.
Exhale.
I'm feeling the black.
I'm grateful for my health.
I am grateful for my freedom.
I am grateful for the blossoming trees.
I'm grateful for the sun shining through my window.
I'm grateful for my family.
Grateful for hot water.
Greatful for the space and time to sit.
Just stay with your breath.
Drawing on the things you're grateful for.
Inhaling.
Exhaling.
Deep breath in.
Slowly exhale.
You can gently open your eyes.
You can reach your arms above your head.
Find a stretch.
Inhale.
Exhale.
You can wear a V environment.
Space.
I'm grateful for your time and for you to tuning in.
I wish you a beautiful day.
Namaste.
Namaste.
Namaste.
