Hello everyone,

Welcome.

Today we're going to talk about and meditate on resilience.

So I think there's five ways we can build resilience.

The first one is connection to self.

So the more often we connect to ourselves,

It builds resilience by helping us to not over identify with life stuff.

We can be the sky and the thoughts and the emotions and the beliefs.

It can be the clouds and we can just let them float away.

Second way is with a deep physical restoration,

Slowing down the brainwave status.

And that's through doing yoga nidra,

Meditation and also in restorative yoga.

It releases some helpful hormones.

It helps balance our system.

Serotonin,

Dopamine,

Cortisol are all really important for resilience.

And then when we practice yoga nidra,

Which is like a deep relaxation,

Really sort of restful.

And it can and has been proven to be equivalent to like a three hour deep sleep.

And then the fourth way is of clearing all patterns.

So we can reunite ourselves with our true self.

We can shift and release all patterns of doing things the same way,

Reacting to issues the same way and really try and change the way we approach the challenges that life throws at us.

And then the fifth way is of creating more of what you want in your life.

So utilizing intention while we are in a deep state,

It means the intention is placed in our mind while we are less guarded and we're more able to receive it.

And again,

Meditation,

Yoga nidra,

We can quieten down the mind and then be open to what we want in our lives and plant that seed.

So this helps us to adopt new intentions and build a life more aligned with what we want and also what our truth is.

So keep those in mind.

So let's begin.

I gather that you'll be comfortable as we begin.

You can be either sitting down on the floor or a chair,

An armchair at the dining room table and bring the mantra,

I am resilient to the forefront and repeat this to yourself three times.

So with each inhale,

You say I am,

And as you exhale,

Resilient.

And as we begin,

You may sort of dip in and out of consciousness.

You may be triggered through emotions.

Let it flow,

Just let it flow by,

Let it release.

Just come back to your breath,

Noticing each inhale and each exhale.

Imagine a warm towel spread across your feet.

Feel the warmth ease into the soles of your feet.

Begin to spread through your feet up to your ankles.

Feel the warmth spread.

Allow your muscles to become soft and relaxed.

Allow the tension to melt away.

The warmth spread up your legs.

Feel the warmth spread up to your legs,

Into your shins,

Your thighs,

Your hips.

Allow any soreness or tightness to loosen.

As you inhale,

I am.

As you exhale,

Let the warmth flow up to your ribs,

Your chest,

Your neck,

And to the top of your head.

Relax around your mouth.

Loosen.

Relax.

The muscles around your eyes and forehead.

Relax.

Imagine the warmth running down the back of your neck,

Into your shoulders,

Your arms,

And hands.

Allow your body to melt further into the ground,

Accepting the support of the earth.

And stay as you breathe in,

As you breathe out,

Focusing on your breath.

Be aware of your belly rising and falling.

As you breathe in,

Take in peace.

As you breathe out,

Let go of any negative self-talk or concerns.

I am resilient.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Picture yourself as a sleeping bear.

Feel your chest swell with power as you take deep breaths.

Notice the strength in your shoulders and arms.

Listen to the force as you breathe out.

Focus on your breath.

You're both calm and powerful.

Think about the connections in your life that helps you to be resilient.

Feel connected and supported.

Allow yourself to feel gratitude for these connections.

Imagine standing tall,

Your head held high,

Shoulders back as you remember a time when you accomplished something.

Embrace this confidence.

Remember this feeling.

As you breathe in,

Notice how you feel calm,

Connected,

And confident.

Think about where your resiliency comes from.

Family members,

Challenges you may have had to overcome.

Imagine a golden thread running through the family,

Passing on this resiliency.

As it reaches you,

Feel a push of power as these gifts are passed on to you in your own unique way.

Think of a symbol to represent your resilience.

Hold that image.

I am resilient.

I am me.

I am resilient.

Staying with your breath.

Inhaling,

I am.

Exhaling,

Resilient.

Stand tall in your confidence.

I am resilient.

I am me.

Breath in.

Breath out.

Feel your power.

Feel your resilience.

Have a beautiful,

Wonderful,

Empowering day.

Namaste.
