I want to introduce you to a really nice four movement practice.
It's called the Golden Orb Dao Yin practice.
This is very interesting because instead of doing one move over and over,
Which is what you normally do with Qigong,
Actually every breath is a different movement.
So it's four breaths,
Four movements.
And the recommendation is to do it at least four times.
So let me show you how it works and then we'll do a few together.
So palms are down at the hips.
You want to be feet about hip to shoulder width apart,
Be even weighted.
Palms facing the ground.
The feeling is you push off the feet as if you're going to jump.
Pushing off the feet,
Power through the legs and the arms will float up.
And when the arms.
.
.
Get to shoulder height.
You just relax and you come back down.
The second breath,
Remember it's the breath that controls the pace.
You need to move a little faster because we start the movement the same.
Pushing off the feet,
Power through the legs.
Arms floating up.
To the shoulders.
And then same with the inhale,
Now we bring the hands to the sides,
Out by the shoulders with the palms down.
Between the inhale and exhale you rotate so the palms are up.
Then with the exhale,
We drop.
We rise with the palms up and we go back out.
Breath three.
You just bend the elbows,
Keeping the arms out as you comfortably can,
Side of the body.
Bend the elbows till the.
.
.
Hands come up the top of the forehead.
Exhale.
Relax.
It's like slow motion.
So if you're just softening the body as you come down and the hands are just pushing down any last bit of tightness and they go down through the feet.
And in breath four,
Bring the hands as if they're just facing the belly.
You inhale,
It's like a balloon expands.
Let the hands expand with the belly.
Exhale,
It's like you're compressing the balloon,
Deflating the balloon.
So do this again together,
Inhale.
Floating arms as if there's strings on the pinky.
Loading the arms up,
Loosening through the arms.
Exhale,
We come back down.
Second breath,
Most movements will move a little faster.
Rise.
And bring the arms out.
Palms up,
We sink.
Rise with the palms up.
Come back out to the sides.
Breath three.
Bend the elbows on the inhale.
Excel Sink and relax.
Breath for the balloon.
Spam Just let the hands just naturally move where they want to move.
Contract.
So I'll do one more guided one.
Inhale,
Rise.
Excel Sync.
Inhale rising out.
Exhale,
Palms up,
Drop.
Rise and out.
Breath three,
Bend the elbows.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Mind with the hands,
Soften layer by layer.
Breath four,
Balloon-like expansion of the lower belly.
Compress,
Deflate the balloon on the exhale,
Compressing with the hands.
And let's do two without the talking.
You just follow me if you need to.
And begin.
We're gonna do this one more time around.
Four breaths,
Link the four movements.
And relax.
So I hope you enjoyed that practice.
Really nice thing to just do.
As I say,
I recommend doing that at least four times in a row.
Really just takes a couple minutes,
Brings the body and the mind to a really nice place.
Thanks a lot.
