Hi,
My friends,
There are two very simple ways that can help us find joy,
Peace,
Aliveness in every moment of our lives,
Smiling and breathing.
So whenever you feel ready,
I'm inviting you to bring a slight smile into your lips.
And we don't need to find a reason to smile.
See if it's okay to just smile without a reason,
Just smiling to this moment,
This precious present moment,
And smiling to the sounds we are receiving.
It could be birdsong,
It could be a moment of silence,
And smiling to the body we have,
Our life.
We can be very busy in everyday life,
And we may not be aware of the body,
The preciousness of this body.
And smiling to the face,
The facial expressions,
Softening and releasing.
Smiling to the shoulders,
Releasing the tension and letting go.
Smiling to our hands,
And letting go of the holding sensations,
Opening,
Opening the palms,
Receiving the air,
The space.
And smiling to our legs,
Our feet,
Being grateful for the hard work every day.
We walk,
We run,
We do exercise,
We go hiking,
And releasing the tension on the big muscles of the legs.
If your mind starts to travel,
It could be memories in the past,
Some worries or planning in the future,
Or very random thoughts,
Daydreaming.
And see if it's okay to smile to your mind,
And no need to blame it.
Our mind just wants to help us to keep on track.
It works very hard for us,
24 hours,
So just smiling to the thoughts,
And releasing the tension of the mind.
And whenever you feel ready,
My friends,
Coming back to this body again,
Smiling to this whole body.
And now I'm inviting you to feel the aliveness of this body.
So,
Where do you feel your breath at this moment?
It might be your nostrils,
Throat,
Chest,
Or your abdomen,
The belly.
So finding a place,
And savoring your breath in that place in every moment.
Feeling the preciousness of each breath,
And our breath.
How wonderful we are able to breathe.
We are alive,
Especially in this moment,
We are fully alive.
We are aware of our in-breath and out-breath.
And the mind may start to wander again,
Over and over again,
Smiling to it.
It's okay to have thoughts,
Whenever you notice it.
And then very gently,
Slowly,
Going back to the breath.
And whenever you feel ready,
Take a deep breath.
Breathing in,
Smiling.
Breathing out,
Smiling.
And thank you.
