Every day,
We hear about the progress made by using AI.
Have you ever wondered,
Why do I do what I do?
What's my value in this world?
Welcome to this yoga nidra practice for purpose and clarity.
It's perfectly natural we start to worry about our own existence when AI is doing many tasks we humans used to do.
Only AI is doing it better and faster.
This anxiety leads to high cortisol levels as we are in survival mode.
Manage this AI anxiety is important in our long-term health.
In this practice,
We explore visualization techniques to get beyond simple relaxation,
To plant the seed of your Sankoba.
By quietening the noise of daily life,
You create the space to hear your inner wisdom and reconnect with what truly matters.
Yoga Nidra is best practiced by laying down in a quiet,
Comfortable place with limited interruptions,
Including strong light.
Feel free to pause this recording,
Get anything required,
Such as pillows,
Bolsters,
Under your head and the neck,
Under your knees,
And get a blanket for warmth,
And maybe to silence those alerts on your phone.
Take the next few moments to make any adjustment required for you to be completely comfortable.
Scan your body for any tension that still exists.
What can you do to release the tension?
Maybe wiggling out the shoulders,
Hips,
And the legs,
Adjusting head and the neck until you feel soft and totally relaxed.
You might also place hands facing down on your belly for more grounding effect.
Begin to welcome the weight of your body sinking down to the surface beneath you,
Sensing the weight of your head heavy,
The weight of your shoulder blade,
The weight of your torso and the legs.
The whole body is heavy and sinking down.
Feeling the solid support of the surface underneath you,
The unconditional support of Mother Earth,
Solid and strong like a mountain.
Bring your awareness to the forehead,
Take a deep breath through your nose,
And breathe out slowly through the mouth.
Do this a few times.
Use the breathing out to soothe the muscles in your forehead around your eyes,
And then slowly moving down your face,
Each breath to soften your cheeks,
Then your jaws,
And your teeth and the tongue.
Breathe in and out.
Allow your breath to go deeper and slower.
Notice the air flowing through your nostrils,
The rise and the fall of your chest and the belly,
Expanding when you inhale,
Releasing when you exhale.
Notice the weight of your body,
Each breath allows you to ground deeper into the earth.
Welcome now your Sankopa,
Your heartfelt desire.
Mentally whisper three times.
Sankopa is a vow that you make to yourself for the direction in which your life is unfolding.
It is the North Star of your life.
It needs to rise from your heart,
So it is perfectly normal that this takes time.
If nothing arrives in your heart now,
You can simply choose one from my suggestion below,
Such as,
I'm proud to be me,
Or,
My uniqueness is my true value.
Repeat mentally three times,
And slowly allow your breath to return to normal.
Now allow your attention to move through your body,
Following the guidance in my voice,
Sensing and feeling any sensations in between.
As attention flows,
Your body remains still,
But if you have the urge to move,
It's also okay,
Just return to still after.
Let's start from your mouth,
The tip of your tongue,
Up against the upper front teeth.
Sensing the teeth undergone,
The tip of your nose,
Inside the right nostril,
Inside the left nostril,
Sensing the air flow inside your nose,
The space between your eyebrows,
Feeling the sensation of both eyes,
Eyelid soft and heavy,
The ears are listening,
Sounds from far away,
Sounds nearby,
Sounds of my voice,
The centre of heart,
The right shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm,
Tip of fingers,
Thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
And the little finger.
Attention slowly move to waist,
Right hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Feel your right foot,
The heel is heavy,
All five toes,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Attention move back to the centre of heart,
Moving to the left side,
The left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm,
Tip of fingers,
Thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
And the little finger.
Attention moving slowly down to the waist,
Left hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Feel your left foot,
The heel is heavy,
All five toes,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Bring your attention to the whole body,
The left side and the right side,
Arms,
And the legs.
The whole body,
A unified field of sensations,
Awareness,
Through the whole body,
From head to toe.
Now calling your inner refuge,
A resource completely unique to you,
That gives you sense of security and the peace of mind.
Allow it to come to your mind naturally.
If nothing comes,
It's also okay.
Imagine you are standing at the base of a magnificent snow-capped mountain.
The air is crisp,
Cool,
And incredibly pure.
Feel that cool air.
Every breath you take feels like it's cleaning away the fog of busyness and the digital noise.
Allow yourself to breathe that crisp air.
Just be cool air.
In your mind's eye,
Begin to ascend.
You aren't climbing with effort.
You are simply arriving mentally,
Inviting the imagery of trees you might see,
The aroma of flowers you might smell,
The sound of wind you might hear.
Just imagine.
As you move higher,
Notice the changing landscape.
Maybe the vegetation is changing too,
Along with the smells,
The colours.
Notice the world below becoming smaller,
The sounds of the city,
The alerts of technology,
The demands of your to-do list.
They all fade into a distant,
Silent hum.
You reach the summit.
You are standing on a blanket of pristine white snow.
The snow sparkles like millions of tiny diamonds under a brilliant sun.
Around you,
There is nothing but the vast blue sky,
And the silence of the peaks.
Acknowledge the mountain.
A mountain does not do anything to have value.
It does not produce.
It does not compete.
It does not move faster to prove its existence.
It simply is.
It's solid,
Unshakable,
And ancient.
Ask yourself silently.
If all my tasks were taken away,
Who would remain?
In the stillness of this mountain,
What is the quality of my presence?
See yourself as this mountain.
The snow-capped peak is your wisdom,
Cool,
Calm,
And elevated.
The deep roots of the mountain are your values,
Steady and unchanging.
In this high,
Quiet place,
Look at your life from a bird's-eye view.
Beyond the better and the faster of the world,
See the unique inspiration you bring to others.
See the specific way you laugh,
The specific way you care,
And the unique perspective that only you can offer.
AI can mimic the logic,
But it can't see the truth.
It cannot mimic your heart.
Rest here in the silence of the snow for a few more minutes.
Let your Sankopa,
Your North Star,
Shine brightly over this mountain peak.
Feel the strength of the mountain in your spine.
Feel the clarity of mountain air in your mind.
Slowly return to your physical body.
Feel the weight of your limbs and the surface beneath you.
The mountain lives inside you.
That sense of unshakable purpose is who you are.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
Breathe out slowly.
One more time.
Wake up your body slowly.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Stretch your arms overhead to salute that mountain peak in your mind one last time.
When you are ready,
Roll to your right side for a few breaths.
As you open your eyes,
Remember,
You are the creator of your life.
So dream big and follow your heart.
