Don't listen to this while doing anything that requires your full attention,
Just find a quiet place where you can relax,
You can sit or lie down.
Begin by focusing on your breathing,
Inhale gently but deeply through your nose,
Counting all the way down to your tummy to three,
And exhale slowly through your mouth to the count of six,
Breathing in for the count of three,
And breathing out to the count of six,
And repeat this breathing pattern a few times,
Letting go of any tensions,
Stresses,
Aches or pains in the body,
Really letting go with every out breath.
Just imagine as you breathe,
A warm soothing light surrounding you,
This light represents healing and relaxation,
Feel it surrounding your body,
Enveloping your body,
From the top of the head and gradually moving down through the neck and the shoulders,
Dissolving away any tensions or discomforts through the shoulders and the arms and the hands,
The fingers and the fingertips,
The upper back down to the lower back,
Dissolving away any tensions in the muscles or the nerves or even deeper through your nervous system being a more relaxed system,
Down through the chest and the tummy,
Through the hips and the thighs,
That light enveloping and surrounding and soothing,
Down through the knees,
The calf muscles and ankles,
The feet,
The toes and the soles of the feet,
From the top of the head all the way down to the toes now,
Fingertip to fingertip and everywhere in between,
That beautiful warm soothing light penetrating the skin and muscles and healing and soothing,
A beautiful feeling that can begin,
As you visualise or imagine a beautiful tranquil place in nature in your mind,
A beautiful serene forest or a woodland where there's a gentle breeze but it's the perfect temperature for you,
Experiencing all the sensations of a perfect healing environment,
All the sounds,
All the smells in the air,
A beautiful natural healing place,
The vivid colours and the greens,
The blues and the sky and as you peacefully walk through this beautiful place,
You can even find a place to sit or lie down or continue walking and taking in the beautiful surroundings,
Noticing any areas of pain or discomfort in the body but then visualising that soothing light that you imagined,
Gently touching these areas,
Soothing and relieving any aches or pains,
Your body's natural ability to heal engaging,
Your incredible mind and body all working together,
As you repeat in your mind the positive affirmation,
I am relaxed and at ease,
I am relaxed and at ease,
My body is healing,
My body feels soothed and relaxed,
My body is healing,
I feel soothed and relaxed,
I have an easy control of my health and my well-being,
I have an easy control now of my health and well-being and as you continue to breathe in that comfort and ease throughout your body and clearing the mind of any tensions or stresses or limiting beliefs,
Noticing those positive sensations in those areas of your body,
As you imagine a warm wave of relaxation flowing through your body from head to toe,
Fingertip to fingertip and everywhere in between,
Feel it washing away any remaining tensions or discomfort and if you want to,
You can just drift off into a beautiful sleep and waken whenever you want to or you can come all the way back and open the eyes wide awake,
Feeling very relaxed.
