Hello,
My name is Viola,
And I have written this poem for all of you.
I hope you enjoy it.
I call this Thumper's Adventure,
And Thumper is a bunny.
Behind the big old cardboard box is a pink-eared,
Fluffy-tailed bunny,
Who just happened to wander off.
Mommy and Daddy call him Thumper,
Because he falls into holes,
Making a loud,
Thumping noise.
He is a little different and a bit odd,
But it does not matter,
For he is loved,
And now he is missing.
And his family and friends are searching everywhere.
In the garden,
Behind bushes and under porches,
Calling out his name.
Thumper,
Thumper,
Thumper.
Thumper,
Thumper,
Thumper.
His cute button nose starts a twitching,
And those floppy ears perk up to pay attention.
And then he hears them calling out for him.
I'm here,
Cries Thumper.
Hopping,
And hopping,
And hopping from behind the box,
Towards the voices,
The shouts,
That guide Thumper back home.
Not even stopping for a carrot,
Or to chase a butterfly.
Just jumping until he sees Mommy,
And then he does,
And his face gives out a wide,
Big smile.
He leaps in her arms,
And Mommy kisses him all over,
Cuddling,
And whispering.
Thumper,
Don't you ever go missing again.
And Thumper promises,
Snuggles in,
And safe at home again.
