Hello,
My name is Viola,
And welcome to this poem I wrote especially for all of you.
It is called Susie is a Slug.
Susie is a slug.
All her friends,
They call her Lovebug.
She has no shell and hangs out watching the world beneath the carousel.
Her straight body lays in stillness,
Breathing in and out,
Then she falls asleep for just a bit to gather her energy and continue on her journey.
Susie has two big eyes that don't see color,
Just light and dark.
What's so special about Susie the slug is her incredible big old heart.
If you watch carefully,
You will see a bright trail of slime when Susie slithers around on the ground.
You may say to yourself,
Who cares,
She's just a slug.
Wait,
No,
She's not just a slug.
She slides,
Eats and loves the rain.
Susie is a being that is also important in life's nature chain.
All of the invisible that we don't see are part of the living connected with Mother Earth kiss from the divine and valued from the universe.
